10. Days Of Future Past
Back when you though the Xmen movies were going in a new different direction comes something that brings the new and old togheter. Days of future past is a movie that quite impressed me as I wasn't sure if Bryan Singer could come back to an old franchise. This movie brought me back to characters I liked from the old and amazingly putting them with new characters that were just brought in. Hugh Jackman returns again as Wolverine with the rest of the Xmen to save the world once again with a great story. All of the characters like Raven and Magneto are given great diologue and scenes that even help the villans be understandable. This movie shows that anything can happen through time and that you can't give up when all that you fight for might have been in vain.

9. Blade 2
An oldie but a goodie as we go back to a time were comic book movies were not as big as today. Blade 2 is a movie that elevated the first Blade and showed that Blade is a baddass. I watched the first Blade, I thought it was good but I didn't think it was anything special. This movie was truly the first time I thought vampires were cool, the way they were just like us but at nighttime while being hunted. Again Blade just shows that fight scenes can show off while being top-notch as they deliver epic choreography. The side characters also bring a dark but enjoyable feeling as in the end most of them don't survive and you actually feel for them. The story is something we have seen before but the characters are given their time and ultimately it leads to an epic showdown to a great end.

8. Batman (1989)
Ever heard of a man who dresses in a bat costume and beats up thugs? No? Then you have to watch this movie. One of the first movies I ever watched brings me the joy of watching criminals in fear and the great Jack Nicholson. I absolutely loved Micheal Keaton in the role, while a man of few words his Batman always brought intelligence and skill. In a time where Batman was more campy, we needed something fresh. I also love Nicholson as the Joker, bringing more of a comic book feel while also being dark and making it work. Gotham in this movie feels like what Gotham is from the comics and it's feel dark and a place where people face hardships. A highlight that puts this at 8 is that they kill a central character when you think that this would end in the villain's escape.

7. XMEN 2
One of the biggest groups of Marvel comes back with a sequel that's bigger and absolutely better. Another of my first comic book movies that I love. Who carries this movie none other than Wolverine whose story and the story of others bring a great and excting tale of humanity and mutants. The characters are elevated like Charles, Erik, Wolverine and Nightcrawler who are my favorite characters in the movie. I love the way they bring Wolverine's backstory to a villain that really doesn't understand mutants and is fueled by hate. The mansion scene is one that again reassures me that Jackman is the wolverine and doesn't need the costume even though he would absolutely be amazing in it. And a selling point would be Nightcrawler who is great even if he isn't a central role.

6. Ironman
Three words and the audience loves you, I am Ironman. The birth of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the birth for my love of Ironman. From the start I just wished I could be Ironman, a billionaire that can built a suit in a cave with scraps. I am sure you heard this before but Robert Downey is Ironman and in my opinion is better that his comic counterpart. I love how we are showed how he learns not just from his mistakes but has to live with a part of his past through a reactor in his chest. One character I think people don't give enough credit to is Yinsen, Yinsen is the one that saved Ironman and one of the reasons he tries to be a better person. We are with Tony from the beginning through the end and we believe that this was all great and done but we haven't seen anything yet.

5. The Dark Knight
How can you go beyond just making a Batman movie? Well ask Christopher Nolan. I liked Batman Begins so I was looking forward to seeing what's next for the character and I was blown away. Christian Bale is great as Batman as always bringing realism to the character while bringing more humanity and conflict. We learn what became of his life after the first movie and what would happen that would make him retire. Alfred is elevated by bringing reason to Bruce and showing him that people don't need a reason to do horrible things. Harvey Dent is another great character that becomes the thing that he hated, his story just flowed nicely in the story.
Now for the spotlight and absolutely the best part of the movie, Heath Ledger's The Joker. A villain that almost and just almost wish he won in the movie, the Joker's lines, movement, features and just about everything he brings just helps make this movie excellent.

4. The Winter Soldier
I remember seeing Captain American The First Avenger and thinking it was a good watch but not re watchable. I remember seeing the trailers for the Winter Soldier and thinking it would be another good watch. And then I watched it and I didn't expect to care this much about the characters and my heart racing as I watch it. The first scene just already showed me how Chris Evans was truly becoming Captain America. I understood that this is a darker movie than any of the Marvel movies we had seen, that it's bringing the real world and problems to its central plot. This movie makes the question of security or freedom and Cap has to solver it while watching him absolutely destroy almost anyone in his way. Black Widow is a fantastic addition to the movie as she shows us more of her life and what it's life to be a spy not just for shield but for everyday life. If that isn't enough let's add the character this movie is named after, the Winter Soldier. He is just a machine of pure carnage without having to speak, his look in his eyes is full of murder.
Add all of this and fantastic fight scenes makes this movie a roller coaster that I would never want to leave.

3. Captain America: Civil War
A perfect movie might not be possible but this and the two above are close. I adore it, I cherish it, I even cried a bit seeing something so amazing happen on the big screen. When you though the Russo brothers couldn't do it again, they not only do it but they bring the comic book magic to it. Winter Soldier asked Security or Freedom but what if it came from the two biggest characters in the MCU and they disagreed? Tony stark is a character I loved from the beginning and Cap is one that Winter Soldier elevated to equal status. This movie shows you the destruction that is caused every time they go to save the world and it impacts you as you have fun watching those movies but don't realize the surrounding damage. You also realize that if there was nobody to save the day, that there might not be anyone to save. It's hard to choose a side as both sides have equal footing and evidence to back them up. That's good and all but what about the characters? Almost all the characters have their shinning moment and know why they chose their side. Black Panther and Spiderman, it shouldn't work but somehow and someway they fit into the story as one is looking for vengeance and one is brought in because he needs guidance. The fight scenes are epic until where the airport scene just makes it seem like it's too good to be true. The movie rolls in into an ending where a surprise makes this more than just a battle but betrayal.

2. Spiderman 2
The movie that made Spiderman my favorite superhero, a movie I definitely have in my top row of movies. Spiderman is a character from the first time I saw him on a movie poster I thought I wanted to be him. I love this movie not just because of him just being another superhero saving lives but because he's one of us. The first scene in this movie is him delivering pizzas and I am reminded that Peter Parker is the man behind the mask. I just love his scenes as Peter Parker as much as I love him as Spiderman as he's with his friends but also being a superhero. I've talked about Spiderman but what about the other characters? Well aunt May isn't just another sweet lady but has great scenes being a hero herself but also being a role model for peter. Jonah is as close to perfection as we can get to grabbing him from the comics and putting him in the movie. Harry is given more character and a plot that drives him and helps the story fit nicely. Dock Ock is a villain that makes you feel bad because all of his work was for a good cause, he didn't want to be a villain. The actor playing Dock Ock is great bringing a villain that might be evil because of his accident but in the end becomes a hero and that made me feel for him and showed that people can change. Now the story of this movie is why I rank this movie this high is the story of Peter Parker eventually giving up and it really made me feel like spiderman was gone but I also understood why he did it and even when he became spiderman again, I would have been fine with him living a normal life.

1. The Avengers
If I could go back in time and be able to experience I would probably be stuck 2012. The Avengers is a movie that I as a marvel fan thought could never come to exist, even when I knew that these movies were building up to this I still didn't believe. How are you going to be able to put these characters together and not mess up? Well when the day came I walked into that theater and went in to a room to see that it was almost packed and I had to sit in the second to front seats. I just love the beginning that sets up the story for you as Loki is again an interesting and great villain from Thor. We see things from past movies that line up the story and makes it more enjoyable when you know what they are. The tesseract, the scientist from Thor, Coulson etc mashup together and feel natural as they feel like they belong in the same universe. When we get right into the characters it just shows how this is a pure comic book movie to it's core. Again we see Ironman helping with the building which helps set up the base in the ending which again is smart and enjoyable. We see the return of Coulson and Black Widow as Shield is fully shown in the film and makes your mouth drop as you can't believe it's real. Now the character I wanted to see was Bruce Banner and even if the actor is different from his predessesor, he kills it as a smart but dangerous man and his hulk is great to see. Cap is back again as we also enjoy seeing him in a new timeline and him trying to fit in or try to be like everyone else. Thor is also a good character to see as he is more of the warrior of the movie as he is a central part of the story. Hawkeye might not have as much time as the rest but I think Jeremy Renner did his best with what he had and is doing good with helping the character evolve in later movies. But even if you have the story and the characters I wanted to know if they could put them all togheter and give us a worthy showdown. I really can't express what I felt when they joined together to fight the alien army and then the epic and in my opinion most epic shot in a comic book movie of them together ready to go all out. The beginning was great, the middle was great and the ending was a blast, this is a movie that I can watch anytime.

FYI I watched Logan after finishing this article and I would say I would put it as number 4

If you include "Batman" 1989, you have to include "Superman: The Movie."
