My opinion on particular superheroes, coming to the big screen in next few years

Three Casting predictions, and one educated guess(of sorts)

I have some good guesses on who will be taking the mantle of certain superheroes that will be coming to the big screen within the next five years.

Billy Batson/Shazam--The "Rumored" contenders for the role are good but no one that really suprises me. I think Jake Gyllenhall could actually make a really geuine earnest portrayl. Joe, however you spell his last name, from True Blood doesn't seem right at all. I have not been impressed with any of his roles. So, I will say to no to those. I say that with the casting of Dwayne Johnson, someone who isnt attempting to physically match up to him would be a smart move. The movie is going to rely on fantasy, imagination, and humor. So take a note from Marvel and find someone who has a funnybone, but has not yet to have a platform to really spread his wings of diversity. Who am I referring to, none other than JASON SEGAL.
I have been a fan of his for years now, and he has most certainly worked his way up. I could see him bulking up considerably but not attempting to match Mr. Johnson. Just think about it, Shazam is when Billy Batson says Shazam, via magic, to become Shazam. Black Adam on the other hand is an old egyptian dude, who has been asleep. So, Mr. Segal does not have the look and personality of the younger version Billy Batson. Mr. Segal could have the look of, Little Billy got roided up in ten minutes without looking like The Ultimate Warrior. OK, there.

Black Bolt--Ok, I will cut to the chase. I think all the rumors of Vin Diesel taking up two roles for Marvel Studios is true. I really think that He will indeed be playing Black Bolt. I see him being ok with the role of groot, a tree that is limited to three words and his face isnt ever on screen. Same essence with Black Bolt, just where its Mr. Diesel's face but not hardly ever his voice his heard. I gurantee that Mr. Diesel knows his limitations and knows that he is not going to be Superman, Green Lantern, The Thing, Wonder Woman, or even Howard the Duck, so be happy with a walking talking tree and a guy who wont talk.

Green Lantern--It is really too early to speculate who DC will be going with for their next Green Lantern movie. I say the odds of the movie being focused on more than one human Green Lantern character. A safe bet would to say that this movie will feature Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart in a sort of Buddy Cop theme to it. Sp I won't even guess who could play the roles, Just to speculate that Jordan and Stewart will be the main characters. DC could be riding high in success if they gave the reboot an ensemble cast to focus on Green Lantern Corps, rather than just one dude with a ring.

Captain Marvel--Ok, in cases of 'Almost cast', movie studios usually remember the ones they passed oever for the later roles. Now some cases it is the actors fault(Not in negative sense), that they decline a role. Example, Sam Rockwell. Mr. Rockwell was very very close candidate for the role of Tony Stark when putting the movie together back between 2005 and 2006. Later for Iron Man 2, he was cast as a Justin Hammer. Ok, Captain Marvel. EMILY BLUNT. In my opinion, she is one the best working actresse today. Beautiful, Smart, dedicated to the craft of acting and oh yea, she is a badass. Maybe the reason she declined Black Widow role and Sharon Carter role was because she wanted something more. Something more she could sink her teeth into. Who else than Carol Danvers. Mark my words, if she is not cast as the role, she will be most certainly one the final contenders.

That is all i got for now, comment below for your thoughts.

Very nice. Agree with the first three. Just not the last one. Yvonne Strahovski or nothing.

Good article, fun read. Like your thoughts.

I agree Blunt should be Ms Marvel. She is very beautiful, has the acting skills, and wants to join the MCU it seems.

It would be genius of Marvel to cast Vin Diesel as Black Bolt. That was my first thought I had when he was cast to do the voice of Groot.

I really hope Shazam is great, and eventually becomes a part of the DCCU.

I am more excited for Aquaman than Green Lantern. Big Mamoa fan, and glad someone had tbe balls to do a hero based out of Atlantis.

Would also like to know who you, and anyone else, thinks should play Lobo if he appears in the DCCU? Jeffrey Dean Morgan, I know he is older but guy can get it done.

Glad to see there's someone else out there who can see Jason Segel as Shazam. Granted he'd need to seriously bulk up but I think he'd do the role well.

Kinda off topic, but I kinda want Inhumans to be like Jaradowsky's Dune. Like if Guardians is their Star Wars than make Inhumans Marvel's Dune. (Not the David Lynch movie but the movie that never got made check out Jaradowsky's Dune the doc on Netflix)
