Hello Fellow CBM Users

Today my article will give my opinion on who are the most iconic superheroes of all time. By iconic i'm going on worldwide recognition.  Lets get started.

5) Iron Man: WHAT!!!!!, Iron man is only number 5. Yes he is, while iron man is without a doubt one of the most popular superheroes of all time he's just not on the level on the other 4 on this list in my opinion. Also you have to remeber i'm not doing people's favorite superheroes, i'm doing who is the most iconic and I feel while he is popular he's just not the most iconic. Also the MCU & RDJ really pushed this character into the spotlight in the last couple of years and being at # 5 is not a bad thing at all.

4) Spider man: The web head is one of the most popular characters that has ever been created. He is the flagship character of marvel comics(iron man is the flagship character of the MCU). While his most recent two movies have not been that well received, to me that just shows people are getting tired of movies of the web slinger. Nobody can deny that spider man is the most iconic marvel character and one of the most iconic super hero of all time.

3) Wonder Woman: Wonder woman is a character for some reason does not get the recognition she deserves. She is the most iconic & popular female superhero of all time, she's apart of the DC trinity and could be argued that she's  part of the Superhero trinity, and she's simply put one of the most iconic characters ever created. I feel because she has not yet got her own movie like the rest of the DC trinity & other superheroes she hasn't really been in the public eye, but when BvS: DOJ is released and she is well recieved I feel finally WW will be on equal ground with batman and superman.

2) Batman: Do I really have to say anything? He's the dark knight, the caped crusader, the world's greatest detective. He's the FREAKING BATMAN!!!! It can be argued that batman is the most iconic superhero, but i still feel even with 7 good movies and the best villains a hero can have there's still one who tops him, but theres no denying that batman like wonder woman and our # 1 he's one of the most iconic and popular characters ever created

1) Superman: The big blue boy scott, the last son of krpton. Superman is THE most iconic superhero ever and probably the most iconic character ever created. He's the godfather of the superhero world and he is the reason we even have this current golden age of superheroes! He is simply put the king of them all and no one can deny that. Just because he's not your favorite character does not mean you can deny what superman is and what he represent. He's not my faovrite superhero but he is still number 1.

Of course you can disagree with me and you probably have another list of superheroes that you think are the most iconic. Comment below and let me know!!!

100% correct. Iron Man has really grown within the past 6 years but that doesn't change 75 years of history. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The argument could be made for Wolverine as well.

Yes to all 5. Although I would say Wolverine and Iron Man would be tied.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by iconic, or if you are talking about worldwide popularity.... I'd argue that Captain America and the Hulk could definitely fit on the list too

Iron Man isnt Iconic at all, just because someone is popular doesnt mean they are iconic. Wolverine, Hulk, Flash, Green Lantern, Robin, Captain America are all far more iconic and have had a much more lasting impact on pop culture through the 20th and 21st century. We can't say Deadpool is an iconic character simply because every was Deadpool crazy for years. I'd say he has a better shot than Iron Man because people actually bought Deadpool's books.

Superman is a literal symbol of america and capitalism/ consumerism. People cared when Superman died or when Jason Todd died or even when Super man just denounced his american citizenship, or when an alternate universe version of Peter Parker died, THIS STUFF WAS COVERED BY NATIONAL NEWS. Wonder Woman has lost her identity over the years, but she is still far and away THE female superhero.

Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, and Wolverine.

1.Superman
2.Batman
3.Spiderman
4.Wolverine
5.Wonder woman
6.Hulk

Iron man is not iconic character, he only had success in theaters. and it's not just what makes a character iconic.

These 6 characters that I cited were already famous and beloved worldwide even before appearing in theaters.

for everyone saying iron man isn't iconic. I feel iconic isn't just the comics, the movies also can push a character into being iconic. with the batman movies batman would not be as well known as he is. same thing for superman. they would still be iconic but just not as they are now. iron man comics may be not be popular but because of the movies everyone knows who iron man is. thats why he's at number 5 and not at number 4, 3, 2 , or 1. while i feel wolverine, flash, green lantern, hulk, and captain america are very worthy at taking iron man spot, i just iron man has had more of an impact than those 5. but i won't argue with anyone who says those 5 are more iconic than iron man. this is really just my opinion on who is more iconic.

The top three spots will always belong Batman,Spider-man,and Superman after that four and five will be between Hulk,Wolverine,or Catwoman.Cap and Wonder woman would be in the top 10 usually no higher then the sixth spot.

People seem to forget Iron Man has literally only been well known/popular for 6 years. That is not a long tome at all. Superman and Batman have endured 75-76 years and are still numbers 1 and 2 respectively. We need to wait and see if Iron Man endures in the public eye. We're talking about a character that couldn't even hold his own cartoon in the 90's. Personally I think Iron Man will always be remembered by this generation regardless of what happens in the future but people might get tired of him and once RDJ is done with the role it might be over for a while.

@Omarvls I do says so, but I'm not alone. I have 75 years of comic book history support as well. A character that goes from b-list to a-list just because of a movie isn't iconic, they are just a film character.

And about Black Panther, that's a false equivalency. Besides that, I never even mentioned the fact that her or superman were the first of their kind, because that doesn't mean anything. Spring Heeled Jack isn't an iconic superhero even though he was the first.

The most iconic super hero is Thor God Thunder because he has been around for thousands of years and I don't see a day in the week named after Superman .

1) Batman
2) Superman
3) Spider-Man
