For those of you in the L.A. area that LOVE comics and movies, but don't have tickets for the San Diego Con, don't fret. There is a cheaper and easier alternative...
The Anaheim Comic Con
The Con is at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802. Just a mere rock's throw from the happiest place on earth...Disneyland.
Showtimes are:
Friday, April 29, 2011 - 5pm - 9pm
Saturday, April 30, 2011 - 10am - 7pm
Sunday, May 1, 2011 - 10am - 5pm
Ticket prices at the door are:
3-Day Weekend Ticket - $50.00
1-Day Ticket (Friday, Saturday OR Sunday) - $30.00
Child Ticket - FREE, Limit 2 per paid ticket
If you buy your tickets in advance online, you save $5, but they tack on a $4.87 fee. But, hey, that's still a savings...thirteen cents... but a savings regardless. Yelp is offering a full weekend pass at the one day price.
Some of the celebrities this year include: Adam West, Alaina Huffman, Burt Ward, Denise Crosby, Erika Eleniak, Erin Gray (who was there last year and looks EXACTLY the same as she did on "Buck Rogers"!), Julie Newmar, Kevin Sorbo, Nicholas Brendon, Olivia d'Abo, Ray Park, Valerie Perrine, Chase Masterson, John Schneider and a lot more!
