Here's a few words of advice from a local San Diegan who has been to ten of these Cons:PLAN AHEAD! Print the schedules, map of the hall.and the exhibitor listings ASAP,get a yellow highlighter, and start checking off the things you're most interested in,so by Con-time you have it committed to memory. You are NOT going to see everything, and chances are that panel you can't get into will end up on youtube(sans movie clips,of course). Get yourself some comfortable shoes-a lap around the exhibit hall is about a half-mile-and a backpack to carry stuff you want signed. A large bottle of water to keep hydrated, mints, and trial-sized bottles of deodorant are ESSENTIAL parts of your Con kit. DON'T ply the booth babes with dollar bills and keep the drool to a minimum.PATIENCE shall be your mantra, and your key to surviving your first Con..
