Joss Whedon has teamed up with documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) to create a film that will follow a few fans and their journey to the 2010 Comic Con International. According to an E!Online source,

"They want to follow people for about three months leading up to this year's Comic-Con. And then they want to film them there. They're looking at all types of people."

Joss Whedon isn't a stranger to fan followings or the comic scene. His most memorable works were writing for the popular TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly and most recently Dollhouse. Whendon has yet to divulge details about the film or who will be cast for the group of convention attending super fans.

Morgan Spurlock garnered critical acclaim from his documentary film Super Size Me in 2004 and his TV series 30 Days. It was announced last year that he planned on creating a graphic novel (based on his film) through Dark Horse Comics called Supersized: Strange Tales From a Fast Food Culture. Spurlock also attended Comic Con last year interviewing Simpsons superfans as part of a documentary that coincided with the cartoon series's 20th anniversary.

Hopefully, we'll hear details soon on whether the duo are planning on either holding auditions or choosing the hottest girls best fans for the film..

If you're still planning on attending this year's Comic Con International, you'd better act fast. Three and Four Day Membership passes are already sold out and the few remaining single day tickets won't last long.
