Chance of a live-action drama for Marvel? Loeb says that he can't speak on that now, but they're talking about things with their partners at ABC and ABC Family. He brought up the example of Marvel Studios, about how it took a while, but they made Iron Man, did that well, and now they've grown to make Thor and Captain America in one year.

"We won't to do things just as slowly," Loeb says, saying their audience "doesn't want to see another crap television show. We want to make sure we get it right, and with the right people. It may be slower, and it may be frustrating, but we are listening."

And in another TV related announcement, the comic book writer revealed the following.

Loeb says there's going to be a "huge announcement" tomorrow night at 8:15, the pilot to an Iron Man anime. "It's like something you've never seen," Loeb says, adding that it was animated by Madhouse, of Ninja Scroll fame.

gotta agree there. Loeb hasn't really done anything good in a very long time.

I'm really not a fan of Loeb's recent Marvel comic book work (especially Hulk...those titles are such a mess, I stopped reading years ago!) but his TV work on Smallville was always pretty good IMO. I think it was him that wrote the 100th episode, and that's one of my favourites!

However, I'd feel far more comfortable knowing that he'll have little in the way of creative control with these television projects as despite the fact his DC comic and TV work was good, he's done nothing at Marvel to prove to me he could deliver the same level of quality in this case!

i seen a clip of an Iron Man anime awhile back on the Marvel boards. may have just been an animated movie but it was still sweet. definately looked better than the clip they had of the Wolverine anime. they had Logan fighting shadow ghosts or some shit and he looked more like Vega from Street Fighter than Wolverine.

Yeah I was just making fun of how long that question was being asked. Felt like three years.

..........that's it:(
I thought he was gonna talk about a possible Heroes for hire show or anything else other than Marvel's big three. I guess tomorrow will be the real announcements but I hope it involves more of Marvel's unknown heroes.

I love everything Loeb did w/ Tim Sale but he also ruined The Ultimates and I've heard the whole Red Hulk thing is terrible. Soooo...I have mixed feelings on his new position.

I just PRAY that this isn't the first step to him taking over for Quesada as Editor-in-Chief.

A SHIELD series is a given, and Blue Sky Disney has been talking up the idea for months...

I would bet on a live action X-Men show as well (or Gen-X, or X-Factor...) Since Fox only has the film rights to the characters and not the television rights, it would be a clever way to insert some mutants into the shared screen universe... even if they could only appear on TV.

WHEN LOEB LEFT HEROES IT LOST ITS COMIC BOOK FEEL AND STARTED DRIFTING TO EMO REAL AND RECYCLED SCENARIOS..SYLARS BAD, NOW HE'S GOOD, NOW HE'S BAD..NOW HE'S GOOD..TAKING AWAY POWERS TO MAKE THEM WATERED DOWN TO GET MORE HUMAN EMO STUFF, WHAT A CRAP MOVE..WHEN LOEB LEFT SMALLVILLE IT GOT CRAPPY MIDWAY WITH TOO MUCH DRAMATICS AND ANGSTY TEENAGE POO POO PEE DOO.... THEN CAME GEOFF JOHNS AND IT ALL STARTED MAKING A COMEBACK, THAT COMIC BOOK FEEL CREEPING BACK IN WITH THE JSA ...LOEB WAS THE LYNCH PIN, THE COMIC BOOK WRITER, AT THE BEGINNINGS OF SHOWS WITH POTENTIAL.. NOW HE HAS THE POWER TO DO STUFF AND NOT GET BOOTED AWAY FROM IT....YAY FOR US.

Loeb is what made Heroes GOOD in the first place. He left and THEN it tanked. WTF are you smoking? Sure the guy has had some fails in comics but most writers do eventually. Too much of a good thing tarnishes it IMO. And no fail he's ever done will take away the great things he has done. I think he's the right guy to run the Marvel TV shows. He knows how to make good tv.

Yeah Rulk Sucks! The whole plot is just stupid......and Loeb has banner popping out kids left and right. I think he would do justice to a T.V series. His run on Hulk Just sucks!
