It is easily the most highly anticipated fanboy (and girl) event of the year. The annual Comic Con International is where most of the year's big movie, television, collectible and comic news debuts. So far, over 125,000 attendees are scheduled to be at the 2010 expo, which has become the saving grace of the San Diego Convention Center.

In case you were one of the many, many fans who missed the opportunity to purchase tickets to the Con, you may want to stay glued to your computer screen in a few short hours. Here is the official message from the site:

A limited number of 4-Day Memberships passes have just become available as part of a hotel stay package. Simply book 3 or more nights to be eligible. These membership packages will go fast, so get yours today!

Prices for the 4 day hotel/pass packages range between $603 and $1,100 US. You'd better hurry deciding if it's worth the expense; these won't be available for long. Remember, when the passes first went on the market a few months ago, it only took 48 hours for over 65,000 to be sold.

Thats BS... they are making people pay for expensive hotels for the rest of the tickets... hotels can be found for $125 within acceptable distance in nice areas... and $100 per 4 day pass was the starting price... That is $225 for 1 person and $100 for each additional person. This is a marketing pile of feces. For those who don't have their tickets... should be really upset, unless you have the money to spend lol.

I want to go soooo bad but I am not going to fork out that much money when I wouldn't of paid that in the first place had I put a fire under my ass and bought my tickets before they sold out.

Here's a tip from a local who's been to the Con ten times: The best time to get your passes for the next year's Con is while you're AT the Con itself.Get it over with then and there,it saves a whole lot of hassle...And in years past it used to be at a discounted rate compared to when the passes went on sale to the general public. Not this year,though...

I have my four day passes since they went on sale the 1st day and don't need a hotel since I live in San diego, how awesome is that??....I can't wait!! ;o)

@ TABOO13- It is very doable as I have sneaked in the past when I only managed to get 1 day passes and wanted to go on days i did not have passes for. I just had my pass around my neck and flipped it backwards and literally waltzed past the so called "security" at the doors. Trick is to find the young cats standing by the doors as they are so easily distracted it's hilarious..haha! Or just walk in with a big group of people as they won't bother to check everyone ;o)
I'm a mischevious young fellow though so I love taking risks anyway....heh heh.

@TABOO13- don't know the design and layout for the badges yet since I've always picked them up personally @ the convention the day before or on preview night but I do have passes from previous years I held onto and can send you some digital pix's of them so you have an idea ;o) I'd post them on comments but they have my name and I don't want any whistler's that may be on here to report me
hahaha!
You can shoot me an e-mail [email protected] and I'll happily send you the pix of the badges...no problemo ;o)

Being able to go to Comic Con will be a dream come true for me. It will be the dream I will pass to my children. It's too bad I live in the other side of the globe.
