Sony Pictures Joins Warner Bros. In Skipping San Diego Comic-Con Hall H Presentation

This year's San Diego Comic-Con is shaping up to be a fairly desolate affair, with Sony Pictures just the latest in a growing line of studios to decide to skip the massive event.

According to Deadline, Sony will join Warner Bros,. Universal and Legendary Pictures in sitting out the convention.

The studio has quite a few big upcoming releases, including Zombieland 2: Double Tap, Charlie’s Angels, and horror reboot The Grudge. On the CBM side of things there's also Vin Diesel's Bloodshot, and Morbius, The Living Vampire starring Jared Leto.

To be fair, the majority of fans probably won't be too bothered about missing out on updates for those releases, but it would have been nice to learn a little more about the studio's plans for sequels to Into The Spider-VerseVenom, as well as the rest of its post-Far From Home, Spidey-less Spider-Man universe.

Paramount, New Line, and, of course, Disney/Marvel will be on hand, so SDCC should still be worth paying attention to. Is it be worth attending, though?

Agree with everything above but also gotta wonder if the cost for these studios has something to do with them skipping. And is the juice worth the squeeze.

Warner Bros isn't skipping Comic Con, that is a false headline whenever someone posts it.
