Going into this year's San Diego Comic-Con, it didn't appear as if it would be a very exciting one. Warner Bros. claimed that they would only be bringing Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman, while people close to Marvel Studios repeatedly said that any footage shown at the panel would not be released online. There were still plenty of surprises from Thursday to Sunday as new trailers were released, big announcements were made, and our first look at many upcoming movies was revealed.

Now, with yet another Comic-Con in the bag, we've decided to take a look at the ten biggest stories to come out of the event ranked in order of how many views they received (just as we did last year and at the end of 2015). It was a close call with just a few hundred views separating many of these, with things like the Doctor Strange and Suicide Squad trailers narrowly missing out on a spot as a result. This ranking is still sure to surprise you though, as will which company ended up coming out on top at #1...

To view the stories listed below, all you need to do is click on the link in each of the headings!

10. Here's Your First Look At Ghost Rider's Car From AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4

The decision to bring Ghost Rider to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has split opinions, especially as the vast majority of fans would be happier seeing the Spirit of Vengeance on the big screen or Netflix. However, he's coming to ABC, and the first look at Robbie Reyes' car (this version doesn't ride a bike) still ended up grabbing people's interest, even if that just stemmed from being curious about its appearance.

9. Official Synopsis & Cast List For SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING; Plus Amazing Footage Description

While a few character names have been revealed, we still have no idea who is who in Spider-Man: Homecoming, though Marvel did at least release a brief synopsis for the movie. However, no doubt what made this article so popular is the in-depth recap of the footage which was shown off as it shed some light on Peter Parker's high school life and even included an appearance from The Vulture.

8. Lucille Tastes Blood And King Ezekiel Is Revealed In THE WALKING DEAD Season 7 Trailer

When it comes to their Comic-Con trailers for The Walking Dead, AMC never disappoints. Sadly, this year's effort was probably the weakest, especially as half of it was spent dealing with flashbacks teasing the identity of Negan's victim! Thankfully, the second half delivered in a big way as we got to spend some time with the Saviors and even meet Ezekiel who surprisingly had his tiger Shiva with him!

7. Voice Actress Tara Strong Cosplayed As HARLEY QUINN At Comic-Con And The Results Were Amazing

A late but surprisingly popular entry, it turns out that ending Sunday (which brought no new news from Comic-Con due to all the big panels taking place on Friday and Saturday) with some cosplay was a wise idea. Beautiful voice actress Tara Strong dressing up as Harley Quinn grabbed everyone's attention, and it's easy to see why after you look at the photos as she expertly breathes life into the character.

6. First Look At The Jade Giant's PLANET HULK Armor And Weapons From THOR: RAGNAROK

Marvel revealed a lot of new concept art from Thor: Ragnarok at this year's Comic-Con, but they infuriatingly decided against releasing any of it online. However, hours before their Hall H panel began, the studio brought out some props to the convention floor showcasing the armour and weapons that The Hulk will be wielding when he heads into The Grandmaster's arena. They look awesome!

5. CONFIRMED: Brie Larson Is Playing CAPTAIN MARVEL; New Movie Logo Revealed

These days, Marvel saves their big announcements for events like D23 or even ones they hold themselves. However, seeing as Brie Larson was already in San Diego for Kong: Skull Island, they made the sensible decision to end their panel with a bang by bringing out the Oscar winner and officially announcing her as Captain Marvel. This was the biggest casting story to come out of the convention.

4. First Look At The Vulture Revealed In This Epic Concept Art For SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

After his appearance in Captain America: Civil War and all of those Spider-Man: Homecoming set photos, we've seen plenty of Tom Holland's wall-crawler by this point. However, the first look at The Vulture in this concept art (the only piece released by Marvel) was predictably very popular. While the villain's look has certainly been divisive, Marvel is clearly him in a very unique direction here.

3. Here's Your First Official Look At The JUSTICE LEAGUE United

Had Warner Bros. not already revealed most of this team, it's easy to imagine it placing maybe slightly higher here, but the first official image of the Justice League assembled still got a hell of a lot of attention. That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise though, especially as the photo offered up our first look at not only these heroes together, but at members like Cyborg and The Flash too.

2. The First Trailer For WONDER WOMAN Starring Gal Gadot Is Finally HERE

Wonder Woman played a role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the first footage from her movie was shown off during that DC Films special on The CW a while back. As a result, you might not think that the trailer for the Amazonian warrior's movie would generate that much interest, but it ended up really grabbing the attention of fans even if it couldn't quite top the Justice League!

1. The Absolutely Epic Teaser Trailer For JUSTICE LEAGUE Has Arrived

The most we expected to from Justice League at Comic-Con was the photo mentioned above, so the fact that footage was shown came as a huge surprise. Sure, there were rumblings that one of the clips seen by journalists who recently visited might be revealed, but no one expected that to be released online, so an actual trailer hitting YouTube was a massive shock and predictably dominated CBM!

Are you surprised that Warner Bros.' DC Films Universe came out on top at this year's Comic-Con? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
