How an Iconic DC-Trinity on The Small Screen Potentially Could Have Looked

The DC universe on the big and small screen may have introduced 2 different iconic DC trinity’s, but how would an iconic Trinity on the small screen have looked had they got it right?

The 2010's was undoubtedly a major turning point for the DC franchise - Man of Steel kicking of the DCEU in 2013 on the big screen, and CW's Arrow being the catalyst that would later form the Arrowverse on the small screen.

10-years later, the Arrowverse has concluded only recently with The Flash having ended, and the DCEU is in a very ambiguous spot amid a new-rebooted DC universe set to inauguarate.

While many people's opinions on these two shared DC universe's may be polarizing, the main starring DC trios from both were admittedly iconic in the eyes of fans.

The DCEU gave us Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman -- while the Arrowverse gave us Stephen Amell as Green Arrow, Grant Gustin as The Flash, and Melissa Benoist as Supergirl.

Even though the Arrowverse didn't get the iconic DC trio quite right, what we did end up getting was nothing short of iconic in its own regard, as the chemistry between Amell, Gustin, and Benoist felt perfect.

But what would an iconic DC trio look like on the small screen? An X user paired images of all 3 iterations of small screen portrayals of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, and it would have been interesting to see this team-up come to fruition.

Tyler Hoechlin's Superman from his titular titled CW series, Warren Christie's Batman from CW's now-cancelled Batwoman series, and Adrianne Palicki's Wonder Woman from the cancelled titular titled NBC series.

Hoechlin's Superman is well-liked by fans, although the same may not be said for Christie's Batman, and Palicki's Wonder Woman's potential will never see the light of day.

It would have been interesting to see this team-up, but it is safe to say the iconic small screen DC trio we got in the end worked out for the best.

Would you have liked to see this iconic DC trio team-up?

The DC Universe (DCU) is an upcoming American media franchise and shared universe based on characters from DC Comics publications. It was created by James Gunn and Peter Safran, co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studios. The franchise is a soft reboot of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), a film franchise featuring DC characters. The DCU retains certain cast members and narrative elements of the DCEU while replacing others. In contrast with the previous state of DC Comics adaptations, the DCU features a united continuity and story across live-action films and television, animation, and video games. Concurrent DC adaptations that do not fit within this continuity are labeled "DC Elseworlds".

there was another wonder woman show in the works on CW at one point Amazon.

Was delayed when they decided to fast track Flash and then just forgotten about.

Would be interesting to see Warren Christie share the screen with Tyler and with good writers but Superman and Lois is all thats left and it's done fine on its own.

no need for cameos from batman or anyone from the arrowverse unless its directly superman related. (although in most cases id say recast)

I like Palicki but idk if i would have wanted her as the CW Diana…

Seeing Warren Christie as Bruce actually and his dynamic with Tyler’s Clark could have been interesting , it’s a missed opportunity but oh well.

With Superman & Lois going into it's final season (meaning it'll end before any big screen Superman or Batman will show up), I kinda wanna see a Bruce Wayne in S&L.

Even if thats just so that the best live-action Superman since Reeve can be stand side by side with a Batman as well. I just wanna see the world's finest not fight each other.

I don't think Warren Christie was a good pick for CW Batman. I would actually rather have had Jensen Ackles. I guess it didn't matter in the end...

@TheVisionary25 - simply the only thing we really have to judge from - I don’t think he has the look for it.

If we're just using tweets for the basis of articles these days, can you make an article for my Superman and Lois Season 4 pitch where Damien gets added to the cast?

I'll let you fill in the rest of the details. I only had a 25 character limit for this idea.
