Warner Bros. and New Line has released three stylish new character posters for their upcoming adaptation of Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle's 2014 DC Vertigo miniseries The Kitchen.

The film will see Straight Outta Compton scribe Andrea Berloff make her directorial debut with a star cast that features Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Tiffany Haddish (Night School) and Elisabesh Moss (The Handmaid's Tale) as three mob wives in 1970s Hell's Kitchen, who take over the city's criminal empire when their husbands are taken down by the FBI.

Tiffany Haddish as Ruby O'Carroll
Elisabeth Moss as Claire Walsh

Melissa McCarthy should do more movies like this & Can You Ever Forgive Me? over schlock like Super Intelligence and The Little Mermaid. That said, one pays the bills and the other doesn't, so I get it - but she's a much better dramatic actress than a comedian.

I’m pretty sure that every comic book fan wants Daredevil to take them down in the third act.

@Chewtoy - Damn it!

Now, when that doesn't happen, I'm going to be disappointed.

@Chewtoy - You couldn't be more wrong.

Frank Castle makes much more sense.

Those posters are pretty good. However I am very uninformed about this property even more the fact that this turns out to hail from none other than DC Vertigo. 😐

@NinnesMBC - It's an interesting premise, but the story itself isn't particularly deep, partially from it being fairly generic and from being a pretty short read. Not a bad read, but you could argue it only really exists to sell to a publisher to get it made into a movie/mini-series.
