Ben Schwartz Has Auditioned for a Role in Deadpool Film

Comedian Ben Schwartz mentions briefly that he had auditioned for the upcoming film, and calls the movie "great."

House of Lies and Parks and Recreation actor Ben Schwartz mentioned very briefly on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast that he had been in discussions for a role in the upcoming CBM Deadpool. "Deadpool, great movie. I auditioned for that," the comedian said in an episode released January 5. The remark came off-hand around 39 minutes into the podcast (That clip is clean, but the podcast overall is very NSFW).

For those unfamiliar, Comedy Bang Bang is an improv podcast, where interviews will go off on tangents, and comedians may make up funny scenarios. Thus, there is a possibility that this was meant to be a bit that Schwartz improvised. However, he does not follow up on the comment to try to develop it into a bit, so it most likely is meant to be authentic.

What do you think? Would you like to see the actor as Weasel or Bob? Could he be up for the same role as T.J. Miller?

Cool. But I thought Reynolds was coming back? Oh well, he's poison to the box office and superhero movies anyway.

Change your title, it's very misleading. He auditioned for a role in Deadpool but your title makes it sound like he auditioned to play Deadpool.

Reynolds is confirmed as Deadpool. Schwartz never said which role he auditioned for, simply that he did audition.

The other thing too is, depending on how balls deep they want to go on his psychosis and breaking the fourth wall, he could have auditioned for one of the voices in Deadpool's head.

Except for the fact that he was the best thing about all of the CBMs he has been in, if anything his agent is the posion for putting him in crappy movies. I have no doubt reynolds will be amazing as deadpool, and i wouldn't mind seeing this Ben Schwartz in this movie. He was funny in that college humor video.

Holy shit! TJ Miller and Ben Schwartz are my two favourite comedic actors, if those two are in the film it'd be a dream come true.

QFT! RIPD, Blade: Trinity, Origins, Green Lantern (well, Mark Strong was the best part...). Reynolds is the ONLY logical choice to play Deadpool, and Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds fans know this. (My only other thought is Ben Foster could make a really good Deadpool)
