Mad Max Fury Road and Venom actor Tom Hardy is reportedly being eyed for the villainous role of Jafar in Disney's live action remake of Aladdin. Sources have said Tom Hardy is Guy Richie's top choice for the role and has definite contentions of wanting Tom Hardy as Jafar. The film was reportedly seeking other actors of ethnical backgrounds to stay true to the source material at hand but if this rumor is true then that might not be the case at all. In my opinion to have an actor of high talent like Tom Hardy in this role would be perfect and it would also erase a minor problem with stereotypes portrayed within Hollywood, much like how Iron Man 3 removed the stereotypical character of the Mandarin.
