DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS New Still Focuses On The Mysterious Master Mordo

There's now less than a month to go before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters, and excitement for the movie could not be any higher. Last week, Marvel Studios released a plethora of new content to celebrate tickets going on sale, and the sequel soon broke records.

With so many cameos and surprises planned for the movie, it's currently believed that critics won't actually get to see the Doctor Strange follow-up until the week it comes out. That's a smart way to preserve spoilers (it mostly worked for Spider-Man: No Way Home last December), but means we'll be waiting a while before learning the truth about Chiwetel Ejiofor's Master Mordo!

Mordo took a villainous turn in the first movie's post-credits scene, but this character's apparent knowledge of the Multiverse has led many to come to the conclusion that we're actually looking at a Variant. It's possible the Illuminerdi has recruited the MCU's Mordo, but that doesn't seem as likely.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.

Why wouldn’t they still focus on Baron Modro.
