DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Was Even More Violent Than You May Have Realized

A short clip from a bootlegged copy of Doctor Strange 2 has been shared online, and it reveals that a certain scene was actually even more brutally violent than man seemed to realize. Spoilers ahead!

The following contains major spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Marvel Studios and director Sam Raimi pushed the boundaries of the PG-13 rating with some surprisingly violent scenes in the Doctor Strange sequel (you'll find a full recap here), with The Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) laying waste to the Illuminati in a variety of brutal ways.

Arguably one of the most shocking moments came when she followed Charles Xavier (Sir Patrick Stewart) into her own mind and snapped his neck, but it's now come to light that this scene was actually even more savage than many seemed to realize.

A cam copy of the movie is now up on streaming sites, and one fan has isolated the scene in question, slowing down the action for a closer look at how things really play out. We won't be sharing it here (it's not hard to find!), but the clip reveals that a demonic-looking Wanda doesn't actually break Xavier's neck - she grabs his head and tears it in half!

This won't make much difference to poor Professor X (he's brown bread either way), but it's pretty wild that Raimi was able to get something like this into a Marvel Studios/Disney film.

Did any of you pick up on this while watching the movie in theaters? Drop us a comment down below.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - that clip is wild.

I don't see why it's not just in the article though either. This site has no problem sharing dozens of spoiler articles in the first week, but this is too much?

I'm all for torrenting those overpriced drink coasters (aka Blu-Rays), but can we please at least respect a movie's theatrical window? I mean, seriously, who watches cam rips?

The horror elements were the best thing about it, the part that made me smile the most was when strange said “who said they had to be living?” And proceed to see a Dr. Strange corpse rise from the dead, being and evil dead fan and knowing rami is a big fan of the strange comics getting to see him do that was a treat, I hope he returns in any capacity in the future

@manofillintent1 - Wanda escaping the Mirror Dimension was a combination of ALL the tricks Raimi did during his entire career, it might be the best sequence in the entire movie.

People wondering how Marvel would handle Blade with a PG13 rating don't need much more evidence that they can deliver than Multiverse of Madness. This shit was VIOLENCE on a level I've rarely seen a non R rating get to since the 90s.

@OmegaDaGrodd - people hear PG-13 and automatically assume we’re getting paw patrol level movies. PG-13 is only 1 step below R , R basically just means we can see full nudity and extra gore if wanted to , there’s not much more action wise you can’t achieve with R than PG-13

@ShimmyShimmyYA

"there’s not much more action wise you can’t achieve with R than PG-13"

There's a certain impact you get with R-movies that you can't get with PG-13. Even The Batman suffered from this...feels like they want to go dark and violent but they don't have the teeth to go all the way.

People keep talking about the violence in MoM. PG-13 movies have always had "this level of violence". It was just presented differently in a series that we haven't seen it in before.

"This shit was VIOLENCE on a level I've rarely seen a non R rating get to since the 90s."

This is practically a jerk at this point.
