Does DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Wrap Gift Confirm We'll See [SPOILER] In the Movie?

One of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' stuntmen has shared a wrap gift given to him by director Sam Raimi, but does it confirm plans for a beloved Marvel Comics character to make their debut?

There are a lot of rumours surrounding Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, including possible plans for Clea in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The prevailing theory right now is that Rachel McAdams is taking on the role of Christine Palmer and an indendical Clea Variant, which you have to believe would throw Stephen Strange for a loop.

Recently, stuntman Mark Wagner took to Instagram to reveal that, after working on the Doctor Strange sequel, director Sam Raimi gifted him a copy of 1981's Doctor Strange #48"When the director gives you some of his reference materials as a wrap gift," he writes, suggesting that this issue was particularly important to the filmmaker while working on the blockbuster.

This isn't exactly a key issue in Strange's history, but it does prominently feature Clea on the cover. The daughter of Dormammu and Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension, we're sure you can figure out how she could become a key player in the MCU. Wong, Doctor Voodoo, Sara Wolfe, and Morgana Blessing also appear in this comic book, and it's possible there may simply have been a visual Raimi liked.

With that in mind, we can't say for sure that this "confirms" plans for Clea in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but that's the prevailing theory among comic book fans online.

It's worth noting that this movie will introduce a Kamar-Taj sorcerer who is named "Sara," so another possibility is that she's based on Sara Wolfe. For now, we'll just have to wait and see.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6!

I like Rachel McAdams. Was disappointed by how she was used in the first film. I am all for it if she plays a variant of Clea!

I do think it's gonna be a bit weird for Clea to take Christine's face, but as long as Rachel McAdams get's more to do I'm fine with it

Everybody hyped for Clea, and I'm just here for Brother Voodoo (hopefully by Keith David).

@DrReedRichards - I could see this and I’d be good with it, as most people probably would. It would def be the safe choice though as long as they kept him in the one-&-done category. Yahya Abdul-Mateen would be a solid choice if they wanted to get some mileage out of the character though.

@Deklipz -

Aquaman, Black Mirror, Watchmen, Candyman... Yahya is turning into quite the geek icon!

@DrReedRichards - He's a hell of an actor and seems to be a decent human. From what I've seen of him, he doesn't come across as a douche to me.

@TheHumanSpider2 - me personally I don’t mind spoilers but some folks around here might be a little upset by how close “POTENTIAL SPOILERS” is to your next line. It’s hard to avoid the very next line after that.

Instead of giving Stephen a love interest it would have be interesting to make him a father, and have Clea be a child he mentors and has to learn to be more of a responsible person on an individual basis, since he has learned responsibility on such a grand scale. This would allow Christine to be a recurring love interest and set Clea up as a future sorcerer supreme.

Yeah this is a distinctive change from the comics but could be a great redemptive story for Strange and challenge the character. It would certainly help redeem the character from his irresponsible actions in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

I much prefer Rachel McAdams to play Clea than Charlize, even though I generally prefer Charlize for these type of roles. Her chemistry with Benedict is just fantastic in the 1st one and it was a shame she got limited time. Hopefully she'll get more time this time around.
