Jon Hamm Responds To DOCTOR STRANGE Rumors
Did the Mad Man actor ever meet with Marvel Studios to discuss potentially playing their Sorcerer Supreme? Based on what what Jon Hamm is telling Digital Spy, he most certainly did not. Check it out!
"The funny thing about the internet is you can have rumors go on about possible jobs, and possible things that you have no idea," Jon Hamm told Digital Spy when they asked about rumors that he was in contention to play Stephen Strange. "Maybe, I don't know. It's funny when the internet knows more about you than you do, but maybe they've been talking to someone at Marvel. I certainly wasn't approached about it, but I do like Dr. Strange. He's a cool character."
For the record, Jon Hamm's name popped up for Doctor Strange only once and it was from an unreliable source back in January. There have since been others linked to the Scott Derrickson-directed project, but as of July, Marvel is currently in hot pursuit of three-time Oscar-nominated actor Joaquin Phoenix, who reportedly is "strongly" considering the offer.
