RUMOR: DOCTOR STRANGE To Debut On Netflix's IRON FIST Before His Solo Movie

Could we see the Sorcerer Supreme make his grand entrance on TV before the Doctor Strange movie next year? Apparently the plan is for him to show up in Iron Fist in some capacity, though it's not certain Benedict Cumberbatch will actually be playing him...

Like any rumor we'll have to take this with the requisite pinch of salt, but Bleeding Cool have been on point with some of their Marvel related scoops recently (we won't say which ones, but if you've seen Avengers: Age Of Ultron you'll know) so it's probably best to pay attention at least. According to their sources, Marvel plans to introduce the character of Doctor Strange in one of their upcoming Netflix TV shows; specifically Iron Fist. They're not sure whether Benedict Cumberbatch will actually play the character in the flesh, but reckon it's a good bet that he'll "at least do the voice."

We know Marvel like to lay the groundwork before introducing a new character to the MCU whenever possible, and aside from a brief mention in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it's been all quiet on the Strange front. Granted introducing a major player on TV before his own film is uncharted territory, but if the plan really is to merge everything together for the Infinity War movies anyway, I don't see this as being too far fetched. Plus, Iron Fist is definitely the character it makes most sense to pair Stephen Strange up with. What do you guys think?

These companies must come up with a standard contract that says like you get this much per movie and this much for each tv appearance . It just seems too hard to cross guys over very much and for very long . I want more people showing up in other peoples shows and movies .

Why the [frick] do people still source Bleeding Cool? Remember when they "confirmed" that Fox had ditched the ENTIRE cast and crew for the new Fantastic Four? How'd that go for them?

If Netfflix keeps it's production pattern the same as its been for Daredevil and Jessica Jones, I can't see Iron Fist premering before Doctor Strange. That movie is 18 months away and unless Netflix premieres Jessica Jones -then Luke Cage AND then Iron Fist at 6 months apart -it can't happen.

Makes sense iron fist's powers are steeped in martial arts, chi and magic somewhat. K'un Lun is a magical city, one of the seven cities of heaven. Chi is magical somewhat. CUMBERBATCH'S voice alone is enough to encite excitement. Don't even need an actual physical cameo but would be cool nonetheless. The Ancient One and the Eye of Agamotto has ties to iron fist and K'un Lun in the comcics. At one point, Iron fist is an Immortal Weapon of Agamotto.

Anyone think the Defenders series will focus on Shadowland?? Or a variation of it??

"Matt Murdock returns to Hell's Kitchen from Japan as a changed man and seeks to utilise the Hand as a force for justice, including constructing Shadowland, a prison/temple constructed on the ruins of a Hell's Kitchen building which was destroyed. Realizing that Matt is possessed by the demonic Beast of the Hand, the heroes gather together to try to fight him themselves.Master Izo tries to convince Elektra to help stop the Hand from corrupting Matt. Initially, she refuses because she wants him to be cold-hearted just like her, out of spite of him. However, she reconsiders after she witnessed the broadcast of Daredevil killing Bullseye."

What if Matt is the enemy after being possessed by the Beast of The Hand??? What of he is corrupted by the Hand and leads an army of hand ninjas to police HK.
