The interwebs have been a buzz for a long time about Marvel, and what their next movie projects will be. Doctor Strange and Black Panther have long been rumored to get film treatments from Marvel with Stan Lee even saying that he can't wait to see them. Now, in a recent interview Lee says that you can for sure expect to see Doctor Strange on the big screen and that Black Panther is currently being developed. "Oh they are all being made into movies! I can tell you there will definitely be a Dr. Strange movie! They are working on Antman, which requires really small cameras! Black Panther is being developed, one of my favorites…the Inhumans…All the hero’s will eventually be made into movies," Said Lee. Like stated above this is not the first time Lee has talked about Strange and Panther movies. Although, last time he did talk about the movies he only said they were being considered.

Lee also talked a little bit about his Executive Producing responsibilities, by saying he really doesn't do anything. "I have very little control. I don’t see the script, occasionally I will have lunch with the director or a star, like the guy making Antman,I don’t remember his name- I don’t remember names, or Robert Downey Jr., for Ironman and we talk about the characters," he explained. Lee also said that doing his cameos is really the only time he has something to do with the movies. Getting excited to go to the premieres and see the film it's self was also something he touched on.

For the rest of the interview where he talks about writing his comic scripts, being called "One-Take Lee", and comics in general head on over to District. For the latest on all Marvel movies, including Doctor Strange and Black Panther, make sure to check back here at CBM.

I think Black Panther would be better served in a self contained trilogy. He has a really strong source material and character arc and i think it would be best for him to not get tangled up in the MCU.

As for Dr Strange, The animated Dr Strange was a great and powerful origin story. They could remake that shot-for-shot and it would be ace.

ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!!!!!!!!

seriously! Hell's bells, when you think of Doc Strange's pivotal role in the Marvel U, it seems like this should have been top priority.

But on the other hand Marvel/Disney has been afraid to depict sorcery/mysticism so far so I bet that has something to do with it.

But still.... I have been waiting for this!

RobLiefeldFan & Marvel87

I'm not the biggest fan of the MCU. I find their new formula of movies (Post IM2) too geared toward a younger demogrpahic, very predictable and IMO they don't explore psychology of the heroes that well. I superimpose so much from the comics instead of bringing that same emmotion onscreen.

I believe a Black Panther movie would best be served outside the continuity of the MCU. It shouldn't be so much a superhero film as it is a story about a boy becoming a King. Wakanda and Black Panther has such a rich history that can be told. Plus keeping it out of the MCU allows for more passage of time.

I hate to use Nolan's trilogy as an example but I think the formula is beautiful. Black Panther Begins and starts a rebellion to regain the crown. Black Panther finally becomes King in the sequel. Old Black Panther where he the legacy comes full circle and his son becomes the new Black Panther.
