Coincidence of Curse?

Coincidence of Curse?

The Dark Knight Trilogy has been plagued by tragedy

The horrific mass murder during the midnight premiere on Friday is the latest in a series of horrific tragedies and that have surrounded Christopher Nolan’s Batman films. These events included deaths and damage at such an extent perhaps not seen in any other production.

Prior to the massacre, the most prominent of these events was the January 2008 death of Heath Ledger from an accidental prescription drug overdose.

In October 2007, towards the end of production of The Dark Knight, special effects technician Conway Wickliffe died when a camera truck struck a tree.

During production for The Dark Knight Rises, in November 2011, an unidentified man died of a heart attack while on break from the rehearsal for a large scene that included hundreds of extras.

Morgan Freeman received serious injuries and had to be cut from the vehicle after a car accident in rural Mississippi in August 2008 and had to receive surgery. He was later sued by the other passenger in the car.

Christian Bale was accused of assaulting his mother and sister during the London premiere of The Dark Knight in 2008. He was later cleared of the charges.

During production of The Dark Knight Rises, a stunt woman for Anne Hathaway stuck and damaged some expensive camera equipment.

Several days later while filming a sequence for Batman’s area vehicle “The Bat” it was severely damaged.

A trailer for the production also crashed into the gate at Wollaton Hall.

Thankfully no one was injured from these accidents.

Whether you believe in curses or not, there is no denying that the consistent tragedies surrounding these films is adnormal. Perhaps paranormal.

You'd be hard pressed to find ANY movie that had the scale and scope of tragedy that surrounded these films- apart from the minor accidents on set and extra's passing away.

You're connecting things that can't be considered accidents or curses.

Aberrant behavior begets aberrant results. Add to it what Greengo stated, and it is what it is.

What about Batman Begins? You didn't mention any deaths that occurred around the production and release of the film. It comes more off as a coincidence rather than a curse if these things started around the second film.

Yeah it seems to have all started with Conway Wickliffe (2nd from top) in October 2007.

It's spelled abnormal, guy.

And nothing of that is shocking. One extra who was probably an older man or woman to begin with has a heart attack, but we don't know their prior medical history, so for all we know they would've died that day wherever they were. Morgan Freeman drove a car badly and got sued. Ooooh. Christian Bale, being a celebrity, was accused of something he was later cleared of. Pft. Heath Ledger was on drugs, sorry, can we all get over that already? It messed up Gilliam's Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus more than Dark Knight, mainly cause he did manage to finish principal photography Dark Knight before getting even dumber with drugs, apparently. What else? A Catwoman stunt person screwed up, I mean, that's what happens on every movie with any stunts, a dude driving a truck with a cameraman shockingly was distracted behind the wheel while he was driving the camera around action shots in a Batman movie, and moving a trailer and a big prop smacked into some stuff.

There's absolutely nothing remotely close to horrific other than the one nut in Colorado who shot people at a screening when it opened, but good christ, that was just some crazy dude! You realize he would've shot people up during a The Invention of Lying screening if that had been opening that night, right?
