FAN CAST: Gen 13

FAN CAST: Gen 13

These are my choices for a live action Gen 13 movie.

"Gen 13" has been around since 1994. It has had an animated feature that was not so great, and a video game that ended up being canceled. The original comic series ran until 2002. It was then rebooted only to get canceled in less than a year.

The team is now back thanks to Scott Beatty and Mike Huddleston. They've been brought into the Worlds End storyline, the premise for "Wildstorm: Armageddon." Hopefully, the latest relaunch of the Jim Lee-J. Scott Campbell book will regain popularity and catch the eye of a successful filmmaker.
I'm going to say sorry now because I know I am one of the biggest Nazi's on CBM about actors portraying multiple comic characters. But I will be hypocritical regarding one of the characters on this fan cast. Again, so sorry.

Now on to my cast list. Let's start this off right.

Amy Smart as Caitlin Fairchild

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The first time I saw Amy was in "Road Trip." Oh god the memories.... ahem. Anyway, Amy has been in a number of things since then, from T.V shows to movies she even voiced Strawberry Shortcake on "Robot Chicken." I think Amy is good for this role because: 1. she is sexy as hell, 2. she has that innocent look that makes you go 'awww.' She is so cute, but she also has an aura about her that makes me think she could beat someone's face. 3. she is not afraid to show boobies, and in the Gen 13 world you can't be afraid to show some boob. 4.she is damn sexy.

next up we have....

Elisha Cuthbert as Roxy Spaulding/Freefall

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Elisha Cutbert has been around since the days of "Are you afraid of the dark," which I do not remember her in. I'm sure if I watched the show again I would recognize her. The first time I noticed her greatness was on the hit T.V show "24" as Jack Bauer's daughter. Then again in "The Girl Next door"...mmmmmm... more memories... anyway, back on hand. I mean track. I think Elisha would be good for the role of Freefall because 1. you guessed it she is damn sexy, 2. she can portray a character with attitude but can be sweet at the same time, 3. she is a cock tease (and so is Roxy perfect fit,) 4 you guessed it again sexy as hell, I actually think she is one of the sexiest women alive.

and now our first male choice is...

Cam Gigandet as Robert Lane/Burnout

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Cam was in the female-obsessed movie "Twilight" as the main antagonist. He also starred in "Never Back Down." I had never heard of this guy until I got dragged to see "Twilight." Frankly, I thought his acting ability was by far better than the main two characters. I had a really hard time casting Bobby and this guy looks the part. If he can pull off some good acting with all the sh*t acting that was in "Twilight," then this guy can do anything.

next is the beautiful and talented....

Roario Dawson as Sarah Rainmaker

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Do I really have to explain this choice to anyone?....come on. I don't like it when actors portray more then one hero even if they are from separate universes. But she is perfect for this role. I warned you I was going to be a hypocrite.

This next choice was really hard but I stand my ground....

Aaron Yoo as Percival Edmund Chang/Grunge

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Aaron was really funny/perverted in "Disturbia." These are the only two qualities that someone needs to play Grunge. Now if Grunge was not Asian, I would say that Jack Black would be the perfect choice (also, if he wasn't almost forty.) All Aaron really needs to do is put on some muscle and he would fit the role just fine.

Next up this man needs no introduction he is

Clint Eastwood as John Lynch

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It has been stated that Lynch's character was based on aspects of Clint as well as Nick Fury... To me these two are pretty much the same guy anyway. So there ya go....

Now I know there is probably no way in hell a Gen 13 movie would ever get made. If it was, most likely it would be low budget. I guess my cast works for that because the only huge name on the list is Clint Eastwood....

So what do you think?

Great choices, and your right Elisha is in top running for the sexiest woman alive award. Pass me a rubber and some whip cream, Elisha and I would have a great time, matter of fact, forget the rubber...lol.

I like Elisha Cuthbert as Roxy but... this is better:

And that guy as Grunge looks NOTHING like him... NAH-THING!!! I mean come on!!! How can you stand your ground THAT MUCH on a guy that bears NO RESEMBLANCE what so ever??? I mean, would you cast Pee-Wee Herman as Superman just cause he has pitch black hair???

@Shaman@ the reason I went with Yoo is because there really is no Asian Actor that looks like Grunge and finding one that can speak proper English is even harder, Grunge grew up in Seattle so he wouldn't have the Chinese accent, I could have went with the Asian kid from twilight....lol

I do agree that Cuthbert would make an awesome supergirl, actually I could name quite a few characters that would fit her, Cuthbert needs a comic personality and Supergirl is a really good way to go plus if the movie was a hit her career would sky rocket.

Great points Osiris LOL Could ya CGI Grunge... maybe??? LOLOL :P Yeah-no, don't give it to that twitshit actor LOL :P

Cuthbert is astounding!!! She'd be an amazing PowerGirl as well. Provided they CGI the boobs ;)

@Shaman:I just made a comment about the Power Girl situation in the Justice League article. And gave u kudos on the pic for Supergirl.

As far as CGI boobs, lol, they would probably just use a very effective and enticing push-up bra.

Swag0fKrypt0n- Very true, a push up would work :))

Osiris- Since no one actually saw Grunge as being asian LOL, i really really like your choice of Jack Black for the role. If he were to loose all the weight and gain a shitload of muscle, he has the squinty eyes that grunge has so he'd be awesome!!! :))

Grunge was born in Hong Kong, his father Philip Chang sent him to Seattle to be put into hiding, so he is Chinese.

but yeah if he wasn't Asain I would so go with Jack Black, his acting style/personality is exactly that of Grunge, the only problem is he is pushing 40 and Grunge was in his 20's when the team got together. Also Grunge and Roxy have this thing and the sexy 20 something Elisha messing around with the almost 40 year old Jack would look odd. but on the other hand scenes with Jack/Grunge fantasizing about Roxy would be hysterical.

wait a minute so GRUNGE is asian????

GEEZUZ lol, yeah JACK BLACK would be cool, now he's not GREEN LANTERN lol! : D
Osiris

you never knew Grunge was Asian LEEE?...lol he doesn't really look it but they have stated so in the comics and his last name is Chang.... but they really don't say his name to often they just go by his nickname Grunge, which is another reason why Jack Black works so well because the nickname Grunge came from him being like a Grunge rocker....and who do we know that is a Grunge rocker?....hmmmm....
