Hello, Giffy here! I took a reasonably long break before getting the fifth part of my fictionalized MCU out. After tackling Marvel's first family, a reasonably zany character and arguably there most known character, I decided it was time to establish arguably there most iconic. Please comment below what you think of this fan cast!
CHRIS PINE - STEVE ROGERS/CAPTAIN AMERICA: Pine has already played an iconic character in geekdom, Captain James T. Kirk. I had some doubts about casting Pine as Captain America, but I decided too anyway. Pine has all american looks, and can play leadership roles... not to mention, he has a really good likeness to Steve Rogers that most actors lack, but most importantly he has the acting chops to play him.
DIANE KRUGER - PEGGY CARTER: Peggy Carter is an extremely strong and distinguished female character, as well as very sweet, and actress that could show that range of emotion is Diane Kruger.
RALPH FIENNES - JOHANN SCHMIDT/THE RED SKULL: Admittedly, I had tried to cast a more original choice as Red Skull, but Fiennes is such so undeniably perfect, regardless of this type casting.
BRUCE WILLIS - COL. CHESTER PHILLIPS: Bruce Willis plays tough guys well, but he can also be more down to earth.
DREW ROY - JAMES "BUCKY" BARNES: Bucky was a hard character to cast, but after remembering Drew Roy from Falling Skies I was wowed by how perfect he would be in the role. Not to mention, I think Roy would have good chemistry with Pine.
LEE PACE - MONTGOMERY FALSWORTH/UNION JACK: I am a fan of Lee Pace's acting ability, and as Falsworth, he would do very well.
CHRISTOPHER LLOYD - DR. ABRAHAM ERSKINE: Christopher Lloyd from looking like Erskine, to just acting like Erskine, seemed like perfect casting.
GEDEON BURKHARD - HEINZ KRUGER: Not much I can say here, other than I think Burkhard would fit Kruger.
