This is a fancast of a few major players surrounding the Hulk and his alter personality, Robert Bruce Banner. Back in 2009 I actually casted a ton of Marvel characters but for this one it’s just the Hulk and his peeps.
Note: I tried to stick with the live action movies as much as possible with the idea that if I was in control of the movie, what would happen, but sometimes I just didn’t particularly like the cast so I casted my own actor. And yeah I get it, much of my cast is based on looks but, what are you gonna do huh? I know only limited amounts of actors.
Heroes/ Adventurers
The Hulk- Edward Nortan
To me, he played the agonized Bruce Banner perfectly. Heck he even looked like him. Even though they replaced him with Mark Ruffalo (who I greatly respect also), Eddie here will always be the Hulk to me. I just loved the way he portrayed him. Period.
Elizabeth Ross- Jennifer Connelly
So people say Liz Tyler was just wrong for Ross. Fine, I’ll go with that. Jennifer Connelly is an excellent actress, particularly playing those characters that are not so happy-go-lucky which I think is what Elizabeth should be seeing how the man she loves is cursed so. Plus, she looks intelligent and is only one year younger than Norton.
Rick Jones- Shia LaBeouf
I know a lot of people hate Shia, but I actually like him in certain movies particularly in Eagle Eye and Disturbia. One has to admit, he makes a great panicky guy. The reason why I cast him as Rick is he can easily play the type that would venture out into an atomic bomb test site and certainly his panicky nature would provide a nice contrast to the seriousness of Norton and the Hulk.
Thaddeus Ross- William Hurt
I thought he played a great Thunderbolt Ross in the Incredible Hulk although I’m not sure how an old guy like him will be playing the Red Hulk O_O
She-Hulk- Hilary Swank
A great actress she can definitely pull off the tough lawyer type that Jennifer Walters becomes. Yet, before her transformation, Jennifer Walters is sort of a behind the scene, quite person, and due to her stature, Swank can play that too.
Jarella- Zoe Saldana
Apparently I forgot to cast her so she was bit of a late addition but I found a perfect actress for her in Zoe Saldana who proved she could play a proud princess who is protective of her people. She definitely as that royal air about her.
Skaar- Jesse Metcalfe
Yeah, another late addition and I’m not entirely happy with this choice but his dark eyes portray a sense of anger that is very evident in Skaar. Obviously, he’d be in a lot of prosthetics or the role would be done using motion capture but I think he’s good enough.
Doc Samson- Russell Crowe
A great actor who would play a good Doc Samson. He capable playing an action hero, an intelligent psychiatrist, and as the tone of Doc Samson down. All he needs to do is work out.
Villains/ Criminals
Abomination- CGI/ MC (voice Tim Roth)
I thought he did a decent job as the Emil Blonsky in The Incredible Hulk so I gave him the role again. After his transformation though, it would be mostly CGI and motion capture involved in the role.
John Ryker- George Clooney
Clooney is a good actor who can easily pull off the role of Ryker as a husband and businessman who uses Hulk DNA for nefarious purposes.
Leader- Tim Blake Nelson
He was good in The Incredible Hulk. I’d like to see him continue his role.
