Punisher: Reborn

Since this is a reboot I have thought of making this unique and more modern. This is the Punisher movie I want to see.

The Story:

Frank Castle is a War on Terror vet who has survived with the Navy SEALS and many other top secret black op groups; and he has recently retired from the armed services to get to know his wife and newly born twins.

Once home he takes over the family Auto Garage (previously owned by his father) and life seems to be perfect. After a few weeks on the job two mob soldiers start coming around asking for payment for the week of protection. Shocked and confused Frank denies the payment and the soldiers leave giving him a warning that tomorrow they “will be back and they will get paid.”

Worried about the family business and what type of trouble his family is in he turns to his father who spills the beans about how once Frank left the mob moved in to the neighborhood and threatened to kill his family if he doesn’t pay up.

The next day the soldiers return and frank again tells them to piss off. The soldiers turn violent and start breaking things in the front office with the convenient tire iron that just so happened to be hanging around. Frank snaps and puts one guy through the front window.

Frank not knowing how serious and how big the mob family is thinks the fight is over but really the war has just begun.

That weekend is the Castle family reunion at Central Park. Half way through all the fun and games that are typically at family reunions three black, unmarked, creepier vans jump the curb and rush the party. At last minute they turn and open the sliding doors and six men peak their AK-47s out the door and open fire on the family; killing everyone but Frank.

Kind of extreme right? Toss a guy out the window and your whole family gets killed. Well let’s rewind to where the two mob soldiers get introduced. One of the mob soldiers is a no body let’s call him John Doe but the other guy (the one who actually went through the window, head first, getting a really F****ed up face from it) was son of the mob matriarch Ma Gnucci, his name is Billy “Jigsaw” Gnucci.

This is where all the whiners will whine about how it’s not true to the comics! Well guess what? Nothing is true in Hollywood so in my “movie’ this is how it goes.

Back to the story. Frank wakes in a hospital and the cops tell him he was in a coma for a week and the horrible news that his entire family is dead, a real tear jerker scene. Frank tries to commit suicide later but the voice of his wife tells him not to. He slowly recuperates and a month later he finds himself in his vacant home. Then not being able to stand the loneliness he heads to work; only to find out the Mob burnt it to the ground.

Feeling helpless he calls up his old CIA buddy who is in town for the funerals. We find out that his buddy is David “microchip” Lieberman. After some long talks over beer he tells Micro that he wants to watch the Gnucci family burn. Micro agrees they deserve everything coming to them and to just say the word and you can have whatever you need to get the job done.

A week passes and Frank calls Micro and asks if he was serious. Micro just laughs and says go to shipping container 23 at the pier, the key is under your doormat.

Frank goes and finds there is practically every gun he can think off in the container. Also in the back are a handful of Kevlar vests and jackets with a weird white skull over them. He takes everything back to the house and calls Micro asking what’s with the skull. He simply replies “Scare the sh*t out of ‘em, let them know how it feels”

Frank hits some night clubs that are known for their mob ties. He slowly works his way up to the head club house.

By this time the press is calling him the Punisher, due to the fact how Frank is punishing the evil doers of the night.

At the clubhouse he quickly eliminates the thugs and Billy so happens to be there that night. Franks captures him and interrogates him to find where his mother is. At first Billy is resilient but once Frank starts cutting at his already scared-up face he lets the location of the whole family is spill right out. Frank leaves him there to live with the consequences of his actions, also a hint to the sequel.

Frank then goes to the Gnucci family mansion and reeks havoc on the party that is currently going on, playing off the fact they killed frank’s family during a party. He works his way through the party easily, mostly due to the fact a lot of the main players are dead and the rest are scared of him. Frank finds Ma Gnucci and ties her to the bed in the upstairs master room.

The party is in such chaos no one seems to notice Ma is missing. Frank gives her some vengeance speech about killing off his family and how she deserves every bit of this. Frank starts pouring gasoline all over her and he then walks out of the room with a trail of gas following him. He gets to the front door and throws down a book of matches and ignites the trail of gas leading to the master room where Ma is tied up.

The mansion blows up all Hollywood style as Frank walks away.

Credits roll.

After credits is Jigsaw waking in a hospital handcuffed to the gurney. He somehow summons enough strength to break the handcuff chain. In an epic ending he kills the two cops guarding his room and runs away.




Alright well that was the story I have in mind.

Now for the casting.

I have two people in mind for the role of Frank Castle.

The first and best choice would be Mark Wahlberg.

The other would be Vin Diesel. Get over the fact he has no hair.



For Jigsaw I really see Sam Worthington. He is an upcoming star and even though in this film he kind of will be a weak character, but the sequel will have him be more of a bad a**.


Ma Gnucci will be played by Katey Sagal. Her roll in Sons of Anarchy is not really the same but similar to this. So I see her being able to play Ma very well.


I only see one person playing Microchip and that’s John Goodman. His role is Death Sentence was awesome!



Franks father will be played by Clint Eastwood


I would like Robert Rodriguez to direct, he is an action movie natural.

And I loved Garth Ennis’ work on Punisher MAX so I would want him to write the screenplay.
