The first film would be titled "Xavier's X-Men." Magneto has recently been elected President of Genosha, the newly created mutant state, defeating his longtime friend and foe Professor Charles Xavier. Xavier accepts his defeat, but has suspicions about Magneto's leadership. While Magneto, Jason Wyngarde/Mastermind represents the island nation in the U.N., ensuring that the international community has the proper impression of Genosha. Still, suspicious, Xavier sends his team of mutants Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Beast, and Iceman on a mission to investigate the true conditions of the island. The X-Men are stunned by what they find, but before they could act, they are confronted and defeated by Magneto and the Brotherhood. Cyclops manages to escape the island, and returns to Xavier alone.
This would not be a direct adaption of the comics, but rather a combination of different stories (i.e., Giant X-Men #1 and others).

The Cast of Xavier's X-Men

The X-Men—consisting of leader and mentor Professor Xavier, and his team and former students Cyclops, Jean Grey, Angel, Beast, and Iceman.

Professor Charles Xavier—Ralph Fiennes

Ralph Fiennes is a fine and accomplished actor who, like Patrick Stewart, would bring the intellectual and refined presence that is required of the leader of the X-Men.

Scott Summers/Cyclops—Chris Pine

Chris Pine, to me, has shown that he has what it takes to be a leading man, and that is what I would intend for Cyclops to be. He’s a little taller and would bring a bigger presence to the role than the last actor.

Jean Grey—Bryce Dallas Howard

As a beautiful, talented, and most importantly, natural redheaded actress, Bryce Dallas Howard would be an excellent Jean Grey.

Warren Worthington III/Angel—Philip Wincester

Philip Wincester is a charming and handsome actor who would bring those qualities out as the young, wealthy Warren Worthington III and his alter ego Angel.

Hank McCoy/Beast—Joel Edgerton

Despite what the image shows, this version of Beast would be his pre-transformation form, and Joel Edgerton has the physique to portray this version of Beast well. I’m also sure that he’d be able to eloquently deliver a few, concise lines from Shakespeare and other literary works.

Bobby Drake/Iceman—Charlie Hunnam

Charlie Hunnam would be a good choice to portray Iceman, particularly his jovial, funny, and tough personality.

The Brotherhood—consisting of Magneto, Jason Wyngarde/Mastermind, Magneto's twin children Pietro Maximoff Lensherr/Quicksilver and Wanda Maximoff Lensherr/Scarlet Witch, and former X-Men Havok and Magneto's youngest daughter Polaris, who have defected in support of Magneto's leadership of Genosha.

Eric Lensherr/Magneto—Vladimir Kulich

Vladimir Kulich has the imposing stature and the commanding voice required to play Magneto. He is 6’5”, and while he may not be German, his Czech accent is much closer than some generic European (British) accent. From what I have seen, Kulich is a good actor who I think could rival, maybe even surpass McKellen’s Magneto.

Jason Wyngarde/Mastermind—Hugh Laurie

It would be interesting to see Hugh Laurie as a charming, persuasive, and of course, manipulative Mastermind, who I believe would do a terrific job portraying two sides of Jason Wyngarde.

Pietro Maximoff Lensherr/Quicksilver—Alexander Skarsgård

A brooding, dry, and quick-witted Quicksilver would be well portrayed by Alexander Skarsgård.

Wanda Maximoff Lensherr/Scarlet Witch—Rachel McAdams

I’ve seen Rachel McAdams in a few movies, and she has the talent to play a very passionate Scarlet Witch.

Alex Summers/Havok—Mike Vogel

To be honest, I don’t have any particular reasons why I chose Mike Vogel to play Havok. He’s a good-looking guy, and I’ll assume that he’s a decent actor as I don’t recall seeing him in anything.

Lorna Dane Lensherr/Polaris—Kate Bosworth

I think that Kate Bosworth has bit of a resemblance to Vladimir Kulich, so she would be a good choice to play Magneto’s youngest and “favourite” child.

President Robert Kelly—Eric Roberts

Eric Roberts is a great actor who looks and sounds like a leader, and thus, would be an excellent choice to play President Kelly.

This looks like a roster for a First Class type of movie with the roster you threw up. If so, wouldn't it be easier for the X-Men to be younger. Nevertheless, I'll be the judge.

- I'm also planning on using Ralph Fiennes as Professor X. You beat me to it, ya sunuvabitch!
- Chris Pine seems to be more suited for Iceman than Cyclops, but that's me talking. We need an overall strong dramatic actor for Slim Summers. And I think Tahmoh Penikett would fill those shoes with ease.
- Just curious, what convinced you that Bryce Dallas Howard would make a good Jean Grey. Maybe if I believe it, I'll jump on the bandwagon.
- I've also contemplated Phillip Winchester as Angel at one point.
- About Joel on IMDB: He went to Hills Grammar School in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, and after leaving, he attended Nepean Drama School in 1994. Maybe he'd make a great Beast. But I hedge my bets on Kiefer Sutherland.
- Charlie doesn't seem like a comedic actor to me.
- IMO, you may need to go older with Magneto, seeing as your Maximoff picks are in their 30's. Unless I'm told Magneto had kids at 18.
- I love Alexander Skarsgaard, but he doesn't strike me as Quicksilver. Too tall and muscular, while Quicks is 6' and has a lean frame. Whaddya think of Paul Wesley. Mistress Kizuna had a good idea, and judging by his performance in the O.C., I think you'll agree.
- You may wanna read this article on casting Scarlet Witch. Not that Rachel wouldn't be good, but there are some interesting theories on that article.
- Mike Vogel was in She's Out of My League. Here's a clip in case you're curious of his work.

Rest of the cast is good.

I don't know why but this cast just doesn't feel right to me.
maybe its because my cast is completely different.

Professor X= Pierce Brosnan or Gary Sinise( both have the wise mentor look and feel)

Cyclops= Scott Porter(I would like to see a more Badass Cyclops and I think this guy can be that)

Jean Grey= Rachel Nichols

Beast=Shawn Hatosy( I first saw this guy on Alpha Dog and he is a really good actor. I think he would be great as Beast)

Iceman= Josh Hutcherson

Magneto= Clive Owen

Blob= Billy Gardell

Colossus= Ryan Hurst

I don't like Philip Wincester as Angel.
Vladimir Kulich is horrible choice.
Hugh Laurie is ok, but i still prefer someone else.
The rest are great choices. Great fancast.

@yossarian I was being facetious about the redhead thing. Obviously talent is most important, but I also have a thing for redheads.

@RoadDogXXIV Good call on Tahmon Penikett, I never thought of him. My Bryce Dallas Howard pick is based on what I saw in Terminator Salvation; even then I thought she'd make a good Jean Grey. And like I said before, I love redheads. With regards to Magneto, I wanted an older actor, but one who was young and fit enough who would be well suited to play the more physical side to the role. I don't know exactly old Magneto was when the twins were born, but I'm sure he was quite young.

Some really good casts up today! Not sure about your Prof. X but that may just be because I thought Stewart was just perfect in the role. Also not really a fan of Hugh Laurie as Mastermind Love Pine as Cyclops, as well as your Jean! Haven't seen your Angel before, but Eric Roberts is spot on! Great stuff dude!

your choice of Joel Edgerton as Beast is one that I haven't thought of and I really think that is one of the better picks of any X-Men fan cast if you have your main core of X-Men in their 30's.
