Galactus Will Appear in Fantastic Four 2

Fox studio chief exec Tom Rothman confirms the Devourer of Worlds is about to make his big screen debut. Plus, Doug Jones talks about being the Silver Surfer.

20th Century Fox chairman Tom Rothman confirmed that Galactus will appear in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

IESB asked: "Is he going to look like anything like we've seen him in the comic books?"

Rothman replied: "Yes, I think that Galactus, look, I don't want to give away too much, right, but I will say this, Galactus will appear and fans will not be disappointed."

Meanwhile, actor Doug Jones talked about playing the Silver Surfer in the Tim Story-directed sequel.

"I am thrilled out of my mind," he told The Doug Jones Experience. "It has been so difficult for me to sit on this developing news, with all the casting speculation happening on the web. As my research into this character continues, I am falling more and more in love with him ... his valiance, his nobility, his stance for truth, hope, faith, and his history of self-sacrifice. So I fully understand why his fans are talking so much about his introduction appearance in this sequel, and why they would be concerned with who plays him."
