First off I have always liked Greek mythology I know that it is not real but it is always sort of fun to learn about. I like hearing about all of the stories about the gods, monsters, and how people are effected by these things. If you are like me you will really enjoy Clash of the Titans actually you might enjoy it if you are not really a big mythology fan.

A summary of the plot is after the fall of the Titans the original gods of Olympus Zeus becomes King of the gods and lord of the sky, Poseidon becomes lord of the sea, and Hades got screwed because he become the lord of the dead. Hades has always been envious of Zeus and want to kill him so he can become king. Meanwhile Zeus the creator of the humans punishes a human king by disguises as this king and knocks up his wife and in the kings anger he kills his wife and her unborn baby. Unknown to Zeus his son survives and is raised by a fisherman and his wife and is named Perseus. Years later Perseus finds a group of men who destroy a statue of Zeus and then Hades shows up and unleashes his Harpes and kills these men and Perseus's family. Hades asks Zeus if he can destroy the city of Argos so they will start worshiping the gods again but he actually wants to steal the throne from Zeus. Perseus set off to save Argos from destruction and avenge his family by taking down Hades.

Probably the most important part of any movie is the story and I thought the story in this movie was decent the story was not too complicated yet not too simple. I have never seen the original so I cannot compare this and the original.
One thing I thought was sort of strange was how come Perseus did not have a big beard like everyone else does I doubt anyone really shaved back in ancient Greece. Another thing is how does Perseus have a buzz cut I don't think anyone had buzz cuts in ancient Greece what I am trying to say is they should have had him be more rugged and gruff looking. Overall the story was pretty good.

The acting in this movie i thought was really good except you could hear Sam Worthington's accent can be heard occasionally which I don't really mind because he is a relatively new actor in American movies just give him some time just remember Mel Gibson is from Australia and look at him he is one of our greatest actors. The best acting came from Liam Neeson of course as Zeus and Ralph Fiennes as Hades both of them did a really good job.

The special effects in this movie are awesome especially the Kraken and all of the other monsters. I likes the look of the gods like how the armor shines in the light and Hades's demon powers was cool to. The look of the movie was cool it made you think you were in ancient Greece. I wish this movie had more action because the action was cool but I wish there was more of it.

Overall this is a good movie and I think Louis Leterrier would make a great Avengers movie as because the Incredible Hulk was very good so he would do it justice.

8.5 out of 10

No!!! Leterrier needs to stay away from The Avengers. This is evidence enough that he couldnt handle a full cast of talent and produce a good movie. This movie sucked. Terrible plot, acting was ok at best(Liam,Madz,Fiennes) kept the movie watchable. This was not by any means a remake but a totally seperate movie and and should have been re named as such. Then it wouldnt get as harsh critcism but still even then this as its own movie was still not very good.

This movie did not suck it was very entertaining and an all around fun movie. Leterier would make an awesome avengers movie as long as he has guidance from a more experienced directer like that guy who made Iron man that Favreau guy he knows how to make a movie.
