movie sucked soooooo much....logan lerman was emotionless in that movie. Very weak actor in my opinion and i think a horrible choice for spidey!!

i thought the movie blew. i like the book 10 times more. it seem like thye left out to many things from the book that made the book great. i hope if they make the others into a movie , they would stick to the book a little more.

Good stuff guys! Couldn't agree more! I thought the show was entertaining enough to hold you attention, but more for the kids.

Chris Columbus did an awful job directing.


****SPOILER BELOW****




Lerman was given zero direction. Percy finds out his best friend has goat legs, and we get virtually no reaction from Percy. Percy's mom is presumably killed, and Percy finds out it wasn't a dream, and within 3 minutes he's gawking over the gorgeous daughter of Athena. At no point was Percy incredulous or even skeptical that any of this was happening. Sure, some of the criticism should go to Lerman, but it was absolutely preposterous that Percy "bought into" everything he was seeing at face value within 5 seconds of seeing them.

Why have we got that waste of space as SPIDEY up there, if that kid turns SPIDEY the franchise really is DOOMED! : D

Movie sucked worst than a cheap hooker! : P

Good review as always boys but can't agree with your take on the movie. I know it was for kids, but there are lots of kids movies out there that don't insult our..and the children's intelligence. I thought this was fairly preposterous. From an acting standpoint Lerman did ok I guess..like blinkuldhc there says it may have been more down to his direction that so many things just din't work. There were one of 2 moments but for the majority of the movie it was face palm time for me. And just in case anyone thinks i'm being too harsh on a kids film, I love kids films! Where The Wild Things Are, most of the Harry Potters, most Disney movies, all Pixar movies..so its not that, sometimes bad is just bad no matter what age group its aimed at.

Oh and love the new intro!

Thanks Sirprize. The intro is a little lengthy but that's OK! It will be shown in all Goodrich Theater lobby's giving props to CBM and their Theaters. This is good because now peeps will see CBM in an established theater chain. :)

Good review guys! Nice intro-kudos to you two & Nate.

You hit it right on the head. I took my daughter and two nieces to this (11, 10, 14). They loved it. There was no true emotion in the movie. It was hard to tell if it was the acting or direction. Probably a mix of the two.

Intro is a little long but playing in a movie theater lobby, that plays really well to capture people's attentions. I see you already shortened it for Halo review

jman1977-- Great Job yall. Intro is hella long. Should be 10 seconds, tops. I'm glad you finally got some light up in there too. I like your reviews. Very common comic book man's point of view. It is one of the only places I can get the type of info I'm actually interested in. Like, I didn't want to watch this movie, I just wanted to know if this Logan guy might make a decent Spidey. And that's what you guys delivered. Ask and ye shall receive, thankyalordjesus!
