Locke & Key Locked In by Fox

Locke & Key Locked In by Fox

According to Deadline, Fox has already committed to a TV series version of Joe Hill's "Locke & Key." It is planned for a possible run during the summer of 2011. Just as incredible is it represents yet another series commitment for the producing team of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

The duo are not only the writer/producers of the fall-debuting "Hawaii 5-0," but are writer/producers on "Cowboys & Aliens" and currently writing the script for the next Star Trek film. Do they sleep?

Not to digress too much, "Locke & Key" will be written and supervised by Josh Friedman, who was the developer on "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."

Describes Deadline, "Based on Joe Hill's comic published by IDW Publishing, Locke & Key tells the story of Nina Locke and her three children, Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode, who survive an unspeakable horror and attempt to rebuild their lives at Keyhouse, their family home in Lovecraft, Massachusetts. It is a mysterious New England mansion, with fantastic and transformative keys hidden inside its walls that are also being sought by a hate-filled and relentless creature with ties to the Locke family's past who will stop at nothing to accomplish his sinister goals."

More than likely, KALel. If they learned anything from the Dollhouse fiasco, perhaps they'll let this show be what it's intended to be, not what they think it should be. And then promote it in a remotely competent way and let it be. But, we're talking about Fox. I'm not familiar with the comic, but the premise is cool. I'll probably check it out, against my better judgement.

If I've learned anything about Fox TV, if it's a good show, it'll be canceled during or before it's second season.

Then again, maybe not, Joss Whedon isn't attached or involved...
