The site, written in German, reports that these images were taken last month in New Zealand.

Nice find, Destroyer.

I'm suprised that they're already building sets. Does this mean that filming will begin soon? Hopefully Peter Jackson will do it.

They're going to live there until a director shows up. Who knows, they might turn into real hobbits.

The funny thing about this place in New zealand is that they actually LOOK like that.. the little houses inside the hills are real.. the set construction are around the houses but they are for real.

i have a couple of pics of someone who went there on vacations (you know, one of those guided-tours, like The Beatles tours in Liverpool and stuff)
