"Snow White & The Huntsman", Universal Pictures' retelling of the tale by the Brothers Grimm, to be directed by Rupert Sanders, has begun to cast its seven dwarfs. However, this time, things will be a little more different...

According to the Hollywood Reporter, there'll be eight dwards, and not seven. Each will be played by a famous actor that'll be digitally turned into a dwarf in post-production. In addition, each dwarf will be named after a Roman emperor and they will be old enemies of the movie's main villain and Snow White's stepmother, Queen Ravenna, played by Charlize Theron.

Ian McShane will play the leader, Ceasar; Bob Hoskins will play the blind one, Constantine; Toby Jones will play the timid one, Claudius; and Eddie Izzard will play the largest and burliest of the bunch, Tiberius. There'll also be the angry one, Nero; the twins Hadrian and Trajan; and Gus, the slightly bumbling youngest member of the group, that harbors a crush for Snow White.

McShane, Hoskins, Jones and Izzard join Kristen Stewart, that'll play Snow White; Chris Hemsworth, that'll play Eric, the Huntsman; Sam Claflin, that'll play the Prince; and Theron, who'll play Queen Ravenna. Eddie Marsan and Steven Graham are also in talks to join the film as other dwarfs.

In the Plot, Ravenna hires Eric to murder Snow White, but, upon realizing Ravenna's plan, Eric and Snow White retreat to the wilderness, where they join forces with Eric's old allies, the Eight Dwarfs, to take down Ravenna.

The Script was written by Evan Daugherty and the movie will be release in June 1, 2012, competing with Tarsem Singh's "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White", starring Lily Collins and Julia Roberts.

My favorite version of this story was written and drawn by Wally Wood, whom Disney tried to censor into oblivion. Does this mean Snow White won't be having 7UP?

@Protocida I think you mean Stephen Graham not 'Steven'...and i'd put money on him being cast as the angry one!
