A few months back the website bleedingcool received a scoop that actor Sylvester McCoy, mostly known for his starring role as the doctor in Doctor Who, was cast in then director Guillermo Del Toro's Hobbit movies, the prequel to popular film trilogy "The Lord Of The Rings. Then trouble in many forms hit the movie as well as Del Toro's departure from what many believed to be a doomed project. Now with Peter Jackson on board and still a lot of trouble the great news of casting announcement has come our way.

Bleedingcool was happy to report that their scoop was indeed true. At the Armageddon Expo in Auckland, New Zealand the actor confirmed he is indeed cast in the (hopefully) upcoming Hobbit films. McCoy will be portraying Radagast The Brown.

The site is also reporting a rumor that popular Doctor Who actor, David Tennant may have also scored a role in the film. This rumor goes unconfirmed as of now, link below.

"Dr.Who" is a BBC sci-fi show based around the adventures of an alien time traveler known only as The Doctor. The Doctor is normally accompanied by a human assistant who acts as the viewers point of reference. The Doctor can regenerate while dying up to 12 times which allows the series to both re-boot and stay withing canon when the actor playing him quits.

The show has ran on and off since the 60's and to date there has been 11 official doctors. I'd probably recommend starting with the most current series which sees the introduction of the 11th Doctor as the first episode and the final two are belters. Then i'd check out the 10th Doctor's second series (especially the episode Blink).

Sylvester McCoy leads a cast of seven in the first ever stage adaptation of Evelyn Waugh’s 'Decline and Fall', which is given its World Premiere at the Old Red Lion Theatre Islington (nearest tube: Angel) from 30 November 2010 to 8 January 2011.

'Decline and Fall', Waugh’s first novel, tells the story of Paul Pennyfeather, a student at Oxford University who is sent down for indecent behaviour, thus beginning a downwards spiral which in the space of a year will take him from the dizzying peaks of high society to an untimely grave, via a less-than-reputable Welsh boarding school and the cells of a worryingly-badly-run prison.

Irreverent, chaotic and blisteringly funny, this is a riotous mix of mistaken identity, marriage and murder. The perfect Christmas treat...
