@StrangeBlackPantherDoctor
There was an early interview with the producer (my bad) that said it would probably be R

PG-13 seems like a proper rating.You only need an R if you're going to have sex, nudity, F-Bombs and graphic gore.And this movie doesn't need that.

Slightly disappointed. Probably wont be as insane as it could have been. Still excited, though.

Ahh, we all know this movie's gonna be kind of a stinker. But still, I'd rather see a so-so CBM than a so-so cookie cutter studio film.

As long as it "just turned out to be PG-13", with no forced cuts or compromises made to get it that way, I have no issue with the rating.

@Curmudgeon, this is what I'm talking about.Filmmakers don't get to pick the rating for their movie.They have no say in it.It's up to the MPAA and you never know which way they'll go.So, a filmmaker could very well film a movie with every intention of it containing R-rated material, but the MPAA could decide that by their standards, it fits a PG-13 rating.Just like someone could make a movie intending for it to be PG-13 and get slapped with an R-rating.You never know.

Like I said above, there are certain criteria for movies to get an R rating.This movie probably won't have any of those elements.As for the violence, it might be ramped up and crazy.But, this is a superhero and a fantasy movie.And the ratings boards tends to treat "superhero and fantasy violence" differently from realistic violence.It sometimes gets a pass.That may be what happened in this movie.

@grif there's a video of neveldine saying they won't have a directors cut because he and Taylor believe that the theatrical cut is the definitive cut people are meant to see. So yeah that sucks

QUIT COMPLAINING BOUT THE GOD DAMN RATING!!!!!! It's gonna turn out fine because you have Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze a.k.a Ghost Rider again (yay!!!!, non sarcasm) and it's a Ghost Rider movie directed by one of the best people in the directors seat Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor
