Paramount Pictures has screened 15 minutes of "G.I. Joe: Retaliation", the revamp of the "G.I. Joe" franchise directed by Jon Chu, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum and Ray Park. The preview, consisted of three scenes, was very well-received, in addition to revealing more about the story. Remember, after this point, SPOILERS BEWARE.

The first scene, labled "The Big Escape", follows Firefly (Ray Stevenson) as he attacks the military fortress where Cobra Commander is imprisioned, using an arsenal that includes explosive mechanical fireflies and a motorcycle that turns into a barrage of missiles. Meanwhile, in the interior of the facility, Storm Shadow (Lee Byung-Hun) fakes a heart failure in order to gain access to Cobra Commander, who is maskless and with severe breathing problems. We are soon introduced to the President of the United States of America (Jonathan Pryce), actually the spy Zartan (Arnold Vosloo) in diguise, who reveals his plan to take control of the entire world or destroy it entirely, which is demonstrated by the complete destruction of London. Meanwhile, rogue surviving Joes Roadblock (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), Flint (D.J. Cotrona) and Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki) go after General Joe Colleman (Bruce Willis) - The original G.I. Joe - for help to prevent Cobra's plans from coming to fruition.

The second scene, identified as "Snake Eyes VS. Storm Shadow", sees the rematch between the Cobra ninja and his rival, the silent Snake Eyes (Ray Park). Which begins as a machine gun easily triumphing over ninja throwing stars soon escalates into a very evenly matched battle with Sais. Simultaneously, Roadblock gains access a Cobra vehicle and begins to lay waste to the enemy troops.

The final scene, "Fight in the Mountains", is centered on Snake Eyes and his apprentice, Jinx (Elodie Yung) as they battle a massive fleet of Cobra ninjas at the side of snow-covered mountain, which takes a turn for the dramatic and results in an unexpected sacrifice.

The movie also stars Walton Goggins, Joseph Mazzello, Eddie Hargitay and Stephen Martines, and will be released on June 29, 2012.
