Martin Campbell's Green Lantern film is slated to hit theaters next summer, and will soon be followed by a sequel to The Dark Knight and a re-booted Superman movie titled Man of Steel. As you must already know, the 2010 Licensing International Expo is currently taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada; and Warner Bros. Costumer Products division is hard at work showcasing the wide array of superheroes in DC Entertainment's vault. Here are a few images from today's show, courtesy of CBM Scooper Nick:









Earlier this evening I was able to get in touch with a representative from WBCP who was nice enough to clarify the now infamous "tag line" included in the Green Lantern marketing poster below:

"That slogan was created with the purpose of showing our vendors the potential Green Lantern movie products have to reach a wide demographic, especially children. It should not be confused with the slogan for the film itself, which has yet to be released to the public."

There you have it, CBMers, no need to worry Martin Campbell is letting "Anyone" into the Green Lantern Corps.

haha thanks DCfan 89! i never get a lotta support for that suggestion.

BUT i like aquaman. and i wish they could make an aquaman that people would like... i wish they could make him so cool that everyone would say "he's totally cooler than namor" like i say. and i feel like they COULD if they didn't overthink it and just went over the top. i wouldn't even care if it was way off the source material.

he WOULD be cool on film, because he'd be grim and cold and tough and have a million scars, and the movie would be dark greys and blues, with crumbling ruins and salt crusted caves and cliffs and warships. i don't see seahorse rides-- i see spear duels, submarine battles, churning maelstroms, a lotta wind-whipped hair and maybe a megalodon or two. it should be utterly brutal and bloody, and at the END he can be convinced to stop killing everybody and join the hero party.

and i say they should see if cameron would direct and do the whole freaking thing underwater with his avatar cameras. general pop thinks the character's a wuss, but if an aquaman movie shattered those expectations it would be huge.
