The villains were the worst part of Guardians, Nebula was turned into a caricature and despite her fierce look, she wasn't written as someone to fear.

So excited she's returning and with a more prominent villainous role.
Karen was really good with what she had though.

And yeah, I applaud her for shaving her head, it's not an easy thing for a girl to do,
I shaved half of mine in a Natalie Dormer style and I cried for days.

So if they can find an easier way for Karen to do that then I'm all for it, she has gorgeous red hair and her wig on Selife wasn't great.

@ pending I disagree with Thanos being a dumbass on the contrary Thanos makes that statement on purpose so he will get a desired result between both women.

Anwyay, I thought Gillan shaving her head was her idea.

GotG didn't make Thanos look like a dumbass; he looked more like an sadistic tyrant who is so confident in his power that he says whatever he wants because he has no fear of betrayal.

Nice, can't wait for more Nebula, GOTG rocked, most fun I've had in the theatre in awhile....

Nebula looked great. Love the bald look.

Am i the only one whos interested in the fact that GOTG2 and Avengers:Infinity War Part 1 and 2 are filming at the same time.

I wouldn't mind a Gamora recast. Or have Nebula take care of her.

Yeah, Nolan made his villains memorable (with the exception of Talia), but he never made his hero memorable. His Batman was never on the same level as R'as, Joker or Bane.

Nolan and Marvel have the same problem on opposite ends of the spectrum. Nolan made great villains , bad heroes. Marvel makes great heroes, and for the most part, underwhelming villains (except Loki, WS, Grant Ward (and more from AOS)).

Honestly, I feel like the villains in GOTG were good enough villains for a movie like this. This was a movie that had to introduce five main heroes without prior solo films and had to get you to like them. In that context, it makes sense to focus more on the heroes and have the villains take a bit of a backseat. Like I said, I feel like the villains were done well for a movie like this and served their roles well in the story.

I have to agree with this to a certain extent. She could have been handled better.

"Drax wasn't much of a "destroyer" as he was constantly getting his ass kicked. He was only good at destroying minions less powerful than him."

Well, it kind of makes sense that he can primarily "destroy" enemies that are less powerful than him. He got his ass handed to him by Ronan, who in the movie/in the MCU was simply stronger than Drax (regardless of wether their respective power levels are comic accurate).

Apparently she's a rather skilled, ruthless fighter. Also she can take a lot of punishment due to her weird enhancements.

Well, he was a feared fanatic war criminal. He brutally executed people. He slaughtered many civilians. He beat up Drax regularly. He snapped the neck of Thanos's personal assistant right in fron of the big man himself. He obtained an Infinity Stone, after which he talked smack to Thanos and basically promised to make him his bitch. Then he went on attacking a whole planet. He took a missile to the face and laughed about it. He crashed with his ship and laughed about it. He came damn close to wiping out all life on Xandar. It took the power of the Infinity Stone to finally stop him.

I would argue that he was a little more than just "big talk".
