There's nothing too revealing in James Gunn's interview with Entertainment Weekly to promote the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release of Guardians of the Galaxy, but a few points do stand out. Firstly, the site asked the filmmaker about the comparisons to the introduction of the Emperor in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Thanos' first scene as well as the challenges that came with giving audiences their first look at such a major character. "We definitely talked about the Emperor. The most difficult thing was to introduce Thanos in a way where he’s cool, but not make our antagonist, Ronan, look like a wuss in the process. That was a real delicate balance." As for which of the characters from Guardians of the Galaxy he would most like to explore in future movies, Gunn added: "Yondu and Kraglin, the Ravagers. And I love Nebula. I think that she is underutilized in the film. I want to see more of her. The Collector. He’ll reappear. I don’t know if he’s gonna been the next one. I do think his story is really compelling, and I think he’s one of those very interesting shades of gray characters." What do you guys think?
