Fans of horror and sci-fi, rejoyce! Netflix has announced another season of last fall's horror hit, THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE; this time around it's THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR and is based on the 1898 Henry James novel The Turn of the Screw. James' seminal ghost story revolves around a young governess who is hired to care for a pair of young orphans living in a remote country mansion, only for her to slowly begin to suspect that the children are being influnced by figuaritve (and perhaps quite literal) ghosts of the past. The new season is once again produced by Mike Flanagan, who is currently directing the Stephen King adaptation DOCTOR SLEEP; both are due to release in 2020. Strangley, Amblin Entertainment, which co-produces THE HAUNTING series, also has a film adaptation of The Turn of the Screw, THE TURNING, which was expecutive produced by Steven Spielberg, due for a January 2020 release.

Meanwhile, today CBS All Access released the first actual footage of their upcoming Jordan Peele-produced reboot of  THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Suffice to say, the production quality looks top-notch and it certainly captures a bit of the old  TWILIGHT ZONE spirit! We'll see how the series itself does when it debuts on April 1st.

What say you - are you excited for either of these upcoming series?

I know I am in the minority but The Haunting of Hill House was the most boring shit I've ever sat through. My wife and nephew made me sit through every goddamn episode and they acted like it was the best shit ever
