What is it about Three-quels these days? Spiderman 3, X-3... they both stunk and now Iron Man 3 is also atop that list and I was hoping that it wouldn't be. Okay, being a huge comic fan I have a lot of issues with this movie. First, there's hardly any Iron Man in a movie that's supposed to be called Iron Man 3, yet all we see is Stark for 95 percent of the damn movie. I just have to say that this movie was poorly done and I left the theatre pissed. I was ticked. I haven't felt that way since the movies I listed above were in theatres. Considering how Iron Man 3 was the first film after the Avengers, which was amazing, how come it turned out to be a piece of crap? The Mandarin was a joke. He's Iron Man's Joker and he was made into a friggin' joke. Iron Patriot had no action scenes. AIM somehow jumps his ass, steals his armor and he doesn't even help Stark in the final battle which also sucked cause Stark once again spent half the time out of the damn armor.
What the hell was that? The kid was soooo annoying and pointless. He - - he makes a threat to the fake Mandarin, which was stupid on his part especially since Whiplash nearly killed him in the second movie on the damn race track after he unveiled his identity. You think he would have learned his lesson. Then he states his address on television and instead of preparing for something bad to happen he's of course acting like a moron and his house gets blown up. Wow. If that was Batman those choppers would have been blown up before they got in range. I mean hello! Stark is supposed to be a genius. What genius in their right mind would threaten someone on television, give out his/her address and not expect something to happen. And then of all the damn armors he got in his armory he summons the Mark 42. Its not built for combat. The damn thing barely had any friggin power and... I - - I just don't know. The movie was a mess. A complete mess.
The main thing that pissed me off... was the Mandarin. What the heck was that? Made one of the coolest villains in the Marvel Universe into a drunken actor. WTF? Almost as stupid as making Galactus into a cloud. Wow, Marvel. Just wow. I didn't think it was possible to sink any lower than turning the devourer of worlds into a freaking cloud. Mandarin has the Ten Rings, which are supposed to give him his mystical powers. Magic has already been introduced thanks to Thor and it really wouldn't have been hard to adapt into an Iron Man film at all especially since Avengers also had elements of magic in it too. Geez, man. On a side note if they wanted to kill Pepper they should have just killed her. Instead they made her into the next Crouching Tiger. And where the hell was SHIELD? You'd think the "super spies would be watching the Avengers on their solo adventures. But no. Fury and friends spent all that damn time getting the team together and where they at when Stark is getting his house blown out of the damn sky? That's just pathetic. Just like this movie.
