Bash the movie all you want, it's still headed to a billion and is an excellent addition to the franchise. I went with a half dozen hard core fans and we all enjoyed the movie thoroughly. It amuses me how so many people get pissed when something doesn't follow the comic. Well, get used to it. These movies are based on the comics, not an exact replica. I still think there is a REAL Mandarin in this universe. Did you catch that the fake mandarin was provided extensive plastic surgery to look the way he did. "Who" did they model him after? What of the rings on his fingers? I could definitely see another twist coming.

lmao i had to explain to one of my friends who doesn't read comics that if u do read them u'll hate this movie , but if ur a regular civilian at the end u will stand an applaud

The movie is called Ironman-but Ironman isn't really in the movie

I am not mad about it "not being faithful to the comics", just disappointed that the Mandarin that was initially shown was a badass and wanted to see more of him, not a coked out actor!

Double. I agree, no fan should ever keep their mouth shut if they're disappointed in the direction a movie takes. Obviously, none of these movies have made all fans happy and no marvel movie ever will.

Best CBM trilogy of all time now officially belongs to

The Dark Knight Trilogy-

Batman Begins-85%

The Dark Knight-94%

The Dark Knight Rises-87%

Now let's look at Ironman:

Ironman-93%

Ironman 2-73%

Ironman 3-77%

@DoubleD-Seriously though, I am curious, what was it about Ironman 3 that you did not like?
Azazel1
Azazel1 - 5/10/2013, 7:07 AM
@Darantino-Except that The Dark Knight Rises sits at
like 87% compared to Ironman 3's 77%...

I thought it was a good movie but that "twist" was unforgivable. If anyone were to see Feige, ask him "what the f uck was he thinking"?! Funny thing is, most non- comic readers liked the twist! Well, Thor: TDW should make up for this.
Azazel1
Azazel1 - 5/10/2013, 7:07 AM
Yeah, the twist is what ruined it for me...so [frick]ing obvious

I agree with you 100% but be careful a few Marvelites will you label you as a hater for giving your honest opinion.

If you put the twist aside or even agree with the die hard MCU fans that the twist was so original etc...

The movie still has issues, major plot holes, stupid story , and terrible writing.

Like those two critics said it is a just a popcorn flick.

@Joemomma-I agree huge plot holes.

In principal one huge problem I had was how stupid Tony Stark acts in this film

I thought he was supposed to be genius?

He has a huge robot army at his disposal, has suits that actually work and spends his time focusing on other shit that is broken or destroyed...

@ SuperCat

Hey I was the first one to see it on opening day. I support all CBMs, but just because it is a CBM does not mean you have to like it.

@ DoubleD

Agree with you 100% GL and IM3 both good popcorn flicks but that is where it ends. And yes GL is way worse than IM3 by far.

I think what cheesed comic fans off was that they were just getting used to Mandarin NOT being an Asian gentleman with alien power rings, and just when fans were embracing this new version (and looking forward to it), they got smacked with an even more egregious divergance from THAT divergance from the source material. I totally get it.

But I think down the line, comic fans will look back on this differently. Cuase if you can get past the Mandarin thing, it really is a good movie. But if you really like the Mandarin, then you will probably always hate this movie. For me my "Mandarin moment" was what Tim Story did to Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four (let's not get started on Galactus). So maybe I've already been innoculated to this turn of events. I don't know. Either way I think this is one of their best movies. I respect the opinion of anyone who disagress.

As one Marvelite says the other suits were under rubble could Tony could not get them out.

Yeah I take offense to that considering these suits were powerful enough to take out extremis baddies but they could not break out of some rubble.

By the way when Peeper looks over the edge of the mansion after it was attacked that is the exact spot where those suits came out off and there was not rubble!
Azazel1
Azazel1 - 5/10/2013, 7:21 AM
How does Pepper learn to fly in the suit in like one shot,

took Iroman a huge chunk of the 1st film to learn how...

@ Azazel1

Why did the President not take control of the Patriot suit? Oh wait A.I.M. had control of it but yet Rhodey jumped in and it was fine for him to fly and away and disappear with the President.
Azazel1
Azazel1 - 5/10/2013, 7:23 AM
@joe-Noticed the exact same thing!!! Was the exact spot

And dont give me this rubble crap!

The Ironman suits are meant to withstand massive amounts of pressure, damage, concentrated, explosions etc etc

Give me a break...

What I loved about the The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers is that you can see Banner really is a genius

They dont mess with this, this is Banner.

On the other hand they establish Tony Stark amazingly in the first two films as being a REAL genius

and then, he does really, REALLY stupid things...

Lazy writing...

If Tony couln't get to the other suits because they were under rubble, then surely Jarvis could use the strength of all the suits plus that Turtle-headed suit to lift the rubble off.

Also why did the suit run out of power, doesn't it run off the Arc-reactor... or am I missing something.
