BOX OFFICE: JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE Grosses More In North America Than LOGAN & JUSTICE LEAGUE

In some unexpected box office news, it's been revealed today that Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has made more money in the US than both the critically acclaimed Logan and DC blockbuster Justcie League.

It took Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle three weeks to reach #1 at the North American box office but the movie has quickly become one of 2017's most successful releases in North America. With a total of $245 million domestically, the movie - which stars Dwayne Johnson - has made $245 million to date, a figure which puts it ahead of Justice League's $227 million and pushes Logan out of the Top 10.

Jumanji is now the second highest grossing movie of Johnson's career behind only Furious 7 (which made $353 million) and it's Kevin Hart's biggest ever. Chances are it will next pass Despicable Me 3 but it would have to do extremely well in the coming weeks to top Thor: Ragnarok's mighty $312 million.

At the worldwide box office, Jumanji has made more than $500 million and with its Chinese release looming, things are looking very good for this resurrected franchise. A sequel being announced somewhere down the line now feels like an inevitability and Johnson can now enjoy having another series to make his own. What did you guys think of the movie? Do you want another instalment?

@RasAlGhul - The Shape of Water was a beautiful, twisted and thrilling romance movie. Would be been such a huge twist if it was a prequel to some of Hellboy. But it was a great standalone tale. What's even more interesting is how personal the movie was to Del Toro.

The lack of real competition is a great help Jumanji, coupled with the nostalgia factor and the video game style aspects thrown into the mix.

So the Jumanji sequel starring The Rock, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black is gonna make almost as much as the first JL movie.........

Karen Gillan is going to take the 2017 Worldwide Top Grossing Actress crown off of Gal Gadot’s head in a week or two. GotG2 already beat WW, and Jumanji will end up beating Justice League.

Slay it Rock! Already the highest grossing movie star in the world. I remember from WWF days when he was the bad guy in 1997 and thinking this guy is gona be a megastar. Had the look, charisma, comedy and talent to go anywhere. Now he's basically the biggest star in the world. So awesome!

What an embarassement for JL. Logan is understandable with it being R rated. Then again, IT made a crap load of money.

@blitzkreg - Justice League is making more money than Logan ever will.

And you DC FANS still defend Zach Snyder and think a directors cut would have saved Justice League. NOT

Bad is Bad

Wolverine was more focused at older audience with the R rating kept younger kids away.

I know there was some kids at Logan but the majority kept them home with a R rating
