The IESB has done "some deep digging" into the Justice League of America movie and posted new info about last week's rumors of a completely motion capture format.

According to sources, JLA will be a live-action film with some heavy motion capture used for the OMAC characters, underwater sequences and other elements.

Then came the more controversial (read: suspicious) news: TV Clark Kent Tom Welling has been approached to don the
blue tights at last in JLA.

The IESB had been sitting on the Welling info for several days before posting it--even though Smallville exec prod Al Gough denied the report and Warner would not comment on Welling or George Miller, the proposed director.

Also, despite no comment from Welling’s CAA reps, the IESB felt confident enough to say that the Smallville team in Vancouver (which works through April) would accomodate the schedule for JLA, due to start production in early '08.

Sources in the WB camp also claim that JLA will not affect the Bryan Singer Superman franchise or the Christopher Nolan Batman films.

This last piece of info would appear to be supported by a blurb posted by "Brendon" at Film ick, stating that Singer and screenwriter Mike Dougherty have crafted a Man of Steel pitch for the Warner execs that includes a concept draft, pre-production art and several storyboarded sequences revealing an action-packed storyline and some spoilers (that won't be posted here).

All of this material can be treated as rumor at this stage, but IESB and Film ick feel pretty confident about it.
