Okay so first off I am a fan of both DC and Marvel. But more of a DC fan. But I am one of those guys that are not too happy with the way the DCEU has gone. I would have done things differently. I liked Man of Steel, disappointed with BvS and Suicide Squad and LOVED Wonder Woman. So going into Justice League after Wonder Woman, I thought it was going to be on par. It was not. But I still enjoyed it more than the first 3 films in the DCEU.

Here is my take on it.

As far as the actors go, I liked them all. Ben Affleck as Batman was good but not as good as he was in BvS. It seemed like he wasn’t as in character as he was in BvS. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was just as good as she was in her solo film. It seemed like she didn’t take a break between BvS, Wonder Woman and Justice League. She IS WONDER WOMAN. Ezra Miller as the Flash was pretty good. He definitely can pull off being the comic relief guy, he has the charisma to him. Some of his jokes are hit and miss though. Mamoa as Aquaman was good. I felt like he didn’t have as much screen time as the rest of the team. My favorite performance though was actually RAY FISHER AS CYBORG. I know nothing of this actor, but I’m glad this was my first time seeing him on screen. His screen time with his dad was my favorite part with Cyborg in the film. Ciarin Hinds as Steppenwolf would have been better if he wasn’t all CGI, and we see Hind’s face. But his voice was spot on. Cavill as Superman wasn’t as good as in Man of Steel, but better than in BvS. But I think that’ due to his small screen time. Overall, good acting.

I did love the mention of Darkseid. I loved the Green Lantern scene. In fact I squealed when they showed one as Green Lantern is my favorite superhero of all time. So any Green Lantern related thing, I’m all for. I loved that Amazonians, Atlanteans, and men fought together to stop Steppenwolf and they each held on to one motherbox. The actor’s chemistry together was probably THE HIGHLIGHT of the film though. I’m glad they added humor to the movie. But I felt like it didn’t have enough heart.

There are a lot of problems with the movie though. I felt like Aquaman was underwhelming. I think you saw all of him in the trailers, and that’s a shame. I didn’t like that they didn’t mention that he is incredibly powerful on land since he can withstand the pressure underwater. Maybe that goes without saying, but I think it would have audiences like him even more if they mentioned that. Batman letting the goon go didn’t make sense to me at all. His Knightcrawler machine was INCREDIBLY SLOW. The scene where Wonder Woman saved all those people in the court house or wherever they were was cool. But I didn’t like that these bad guys have no relation to the plot, they have no motives, and I think they are just in the movie to make Wonder Woman look badass. The scene with the Flash and his dad I felt should have been much more emotional. Like, tear jerking emotional. AND WHAT WAS UP WITH THE WAY HE WAS RUNNING? I really wish Cyborg was the last motherbox like a lot of us theorized before the movie came out. That would have made us care more about Cyborg and really challenged the League. My biggest complaint though is the scene where they are outside next to Superman’s monument and they are trying to talk sense into him. My problem was….. WHY WASN’T ANYBODY WATCHING OR GUARDING THE LAST MOTHER BOX THAT STEPPENWOLF NEEDED TO FORM THE UNITY? YOU HAVE AQUAMAN, CYBORG, and WONDER WOMAN to help with Superman, but Lois Lane should have been there the moment he was resurrected. SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE WATCHED THE DAMN BOX.

This movie has a lot of bad things about it, but also a lot of good things and I say it’s a win for WB and DC fans. It definitely isn’t on par with Wonder Woman, but I think the DCEU can still blossom into something amazing. OH AND BEST POST-CREDITS SCENE IN A MOVIE EVER.

Rating: 7.5/10

Cool. Glad u liked it. The green lantern cameo was amazing specially when the ring took off. The visuals in that scene were also superb. Short but sweet.

@RealTalk - The visuals were amazing as they should be for a Green Lantern. And I’m glad they showed the ring taking off to find another member. Did you like the movie?

@JeighJeigh - I’m on the fence. I was one of the ones who loved BvS and MoS. There were scenes that I liked like the Atlantis fight and amazonians vs Steppenwolf but overall I don’t think I liked it.
