Possible connection between GOTG and AoS?

According to IMDB.com, which could be wrong, Robert Firth is playing Dr. Fitz in Guardians of the Galaxy.  Could he be Agent Leo Fitz's father?  (Fitz is the boy part of the Fitz-Simmons...it took me far too many episodes to care who was who.)

Anyone remember Fitz talking about his father during the show?  I don't recall anything.

I haven't been keeping up on AOS but I like the sound of that.

Ummmm I am sure the writers will make sure this is tied into GOTG and every movie that comes out as well.........

I agree, but fury told coulson to take his time rebuilding shield. So I don't think it'll be fully operational until avengers 3, which should coincide with the 5th season of AOS.

If Im not mistaken, the connection would be the Kree making a cameo in an episode in AOS and the main villian in GOTG is of the Kree species. I would think that would be a much stronger connect right?

Everything I've read has said that this is Fitz' father or uncle. I think it is actually probably Leo Fitz himself, but a future version of himself.
