First time writing an article here, so please, don't expect too much.

As some of you may know or will have seen from some of my comments on other articles here at CBM, I am one of the people that is very strongly behind & believe in Wolverine having a comic accurate costume used or portrayed on the big screen. Then you have the nay sayers who are against it who will swear blind in their opinion that it just can't be done or will look too stupid / silly for the big screen and then of course the discussion of Spandex being used is always brought up.

I however have always been a believer that with the right creative mind, vision & tailor that an accurate looking Wolverine costume CAN be done & I've always used the example that if Bat In The Sun can do cool looking Wolverine costumes & cowls on a relatively small budget then why can't a big studio like Fox finally get a proper looking Wolverine costume off the ground?

Well, I stumbled across this little gem over at movieweb that I thought would have surely had one of the regular CBM posters here would have done an article by now & in my opinion, I believe this is absolutely amazing!

Moulded & created by Legacy Effects digital modelor & sculptor Adam Ross, who has worked on films such as Iron Man 3, Pacific Rim, Robocop & Oblivion.

This was made for the recent The Wolverine movie this past Summer but was never used in the final cut.

Hopefully it may be brought back out for DOFP or perhaps another Wolverine appearance as it seems such a waste to not use something so perfectly crafted.

It just goes to show that Mr. Ross is the kind of person I was thinking of when mentioning somebody with a creative mind because everything in that box is a beauty!

So, do the usual and sound off below whether you think this costume would or wouldn't work on the big screen!

I think you already know which camp I'm in!

And the outfit is pretty cool. Would it work on screen? I wouldn't know till I see it.

Yea, I'd have to see it on Hugh Jackman. But it looks cool! I kinda like this costume guy.

It's getting buried in the news feed, so you might have missed it. It hasn't gotten onto the main yet.

Badass!

If you can do bats you can do wolvie.

However I always pictured the pointing things on his mask to be constructed from a more flexible material.

Sorry, Wookie, my apologies.

I hadn't noticed it with it not making main otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

Thank you for pointing me in the direction of your article though so that I may contribute.

That means something if a fan film made this costume look serious and work on film when the actual film has yet to do it and this costume looks cheap and yes I understand why singer went with black leather and al the black so that people could take it more seriously but now it's ok to use colorful costumes i hope when they reboot Xmen they use they Jim lee costumes but have it still look modern and realistic

I'm sorry, but the Wolverine costume from the comics just looks stupid to me.

Like, less than $15.00 on amazon.com:

Comic book version of the costume all the way when a new actor (hopefully 5' tall) appears as Wolverine on screen.

I'm all about comic accurate costumes. Batman never has been. Will Ben Affleck finally wear grey?
