From Comics Alliance:

"The all-new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from IDW and Nickelodeon. Debuting in August, the new series by original Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman, co-writer Tom Waltz and artist Dan Duncan sets out to reimagine the original TMNT in a contemporary setting. Rather than serve as a port for Nickelodeon's upcoming animated continuity, the 32-page, full-color comics will establish a fresh universe populated by both new and classic characters. What's more, in addition to co-writing, Eastman will contribute page layouts and variant covers alongside artists such as Sam Keith and Walt Simonson."

Here's a look at the first issue's regular covers, followed by prelimenary art of Kevin eastman's variant cover.

i like the artwork, but are they going to differentiate the turtles by color or just by weapon this time around?

@l0rdleg0las Originally in the comics they all had Red masks they were changed later for the cartoon series so little kids could tell them apart better.

@Dmon....I do remember that as well....had to appeal to the kids so they changed the mask colors and gave them belts with their initial on it. I can't wait to see them go back to being the grim and gritty Turtles like in the early days

These look pretty sick, but I have to admit that the different color headbandmaskthings are a good idea, but maybe that's just because I grew up with them...

Looks freaking awesome.
A lot like the original.
