Lucky Luke out now!

As promised here's an update on the Lucky Luke movie

I’ve been able to follow the buzz surrounding James Huth’s upcoming “Lucky Luke”. The film, of course, is an adaptation of Morris and Goscinny’s comic of the same name. It follows a gunfighter in the American Old West who with his ability to shoot faster than his shadows fights an assortment of crime and injustice. Some of the the villains in his rogue's gallery include many historical figures like Billy the Kid and the Dalton Brothers. Being an Asterix fan, that's one of the things I enjoy most about his comics and movies.

Judging from the French trailer, the live action feature strongly resembles both Sam Raimi’s “The Quick and the Dead” and Terrence Hill’s “Trinity” series.
The latter makes perfect sense, as the comic was made into a television series by Mr. Hill himself back in the 90’s.
If you’re lucky enough to be on Belgian soil this October, be sure to investigate “Lucky Luke”. I’ve heard it helps to speak French.

Synopsis:
Lucky Luke is sent to Daisy Town by the President to restore order.
When he arrives he comes face to face with his enemy's Pat Poker & Billy the Kid--the people responsible for the death of Luke's parents.

Spilox: I've watched a part of the movie in French. It looked great, but I couldn't understand a word. The only thing I remember from French class in school is 'ZUT MON SACK!'
