Brazilian designer Butcher Billy created a fantastic project called The Post-Punk/ New Wave Super Friends. The project consists of several famous post punk and new wave rock stars as some of DC most famous superheroes straight out of the comics. Some of these are just great to say the least.

Mark Mothersbaugh (DEVO) as The Flash

Robert Smith (The Cure) as Plastic Man

John Lydon (Sex Pistols, PiL) as Firestorm

Siouxsie Sioux (Siouxsie and the Banshees) as Wonder Woman

Morrissey (The Smiths) as Superman

Billy Idol as Aquaman

Ian Curtis (Joy Divison) as Batman

I know this is going to get moved to the features area but one of my favorite new wave band DEVO lost a member today. Actually DEVO's music was used in the Heavy Metal comics so maybe this can stay on the news section.

Or my ex.

I blame her for everything.

Even if it's not her fault, it's still her fault.

Hahaha wow, u seem so sure of how everything happened. Sounds like you only like one type of punk to me, Punk is an attitude not a style or a certain way you wear your doc martins. The clash was one of the most "punk" bands around because of what they sang about,London Calling was a huge f u to politics and how things don't have to be. Your saying because bands used less distortion and better lyrics makes them not punk?
