I agree superman is very lame but the whole Super man vs batman comic was one of the best for both characters considering super man goes insane and terrorizes metropolis so bat man comes in to save the day. it truly show cases how bad ass bat man truly is. Anyway, Superman is a great character and much more complex than people realize..read a few comics before dismissing him as simply an overpowerfull boyscout..which on the surface he is..but thats completely the point! Kal El is the only character that has a reverse secret identity. Peter Parker, Matt Murdock etc all put on costumes and become the superhero..Superman IS Kal Els identity, its who he is..an Alien. He puts on the glasses and wears Kent as the disguise. It makes for some very interesting reading..depending on whos writing of course!

Also, Batman and Superman make for a great contrast when they appear in comics together..again when handled by decent writers. Check out The Dark Knight Returns, Death In The Family, TDKSA

I also think they should do other DC Heroes. Did anyone see that new Wonder Woman dvd. I honestly thought it was excellent. The best they have done in a long time. I think a Flash movie is needed and a Supergirl movie. Also a Marvel VS DC Movie would rule only as an animated movie. Anyone else?

I don't think Supes is lame but definietly to powerful. Originally he didnt fly he could only leap !/8 of a mile at a time and he wasnt completely invulnerable his skin could be pierced by artillery shells. But throughout the years he has morphed into what we have today.

I agree that Superman is boring, but I don't hate him. He can be a complex character, but the only interesting aspects (for me at least) that show is when he is paired with a powerful antithesis, ie Batman.

I just hope they make a series out of this and get to "With a Vengeance".

The earlier stuff of Loeb's that I've managed to get my hands on was cool but lately he sucks. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he made mutants descendants of dogs/wolves in Wolverine. I had the pleasure of reading planet hulk and WW hulk and the misfortune red hulk. I dont know why i still read it, Loeb just tried to rehash the Long Halloween formula without answering questions , by dumbing down every character and leaving huge plot holes.

I know Superman has a reverse id but do you think Bruce Wayne is Batman or Batman is Bruce Wayne, because if ever there was character who needs to be locked up its Batman...at least its public record that Punisher is messed up

I don't know why everyone dogs so hard on Superman. So he's not hip like Spawn, or Spider-man, or Wolverine. He HAS been around for over 70 years and that just shows how important he is. He's the original superhero, if you don't count Popeye, and the forerunner to all that we know and love about comics. While I agree that he hasn't grown with the times, he will always be around. Even as a hardcore Superman fan who will defend him to an S, bad pun, sorry, I agree that he could use a freshening up. He needs some new duds, and maybe less eye powers. It doesn't make sense that he has 46 different types of beams that can shoot out of his eyes, or that he can freeze crap with his breath. Sure he can expel winds super fast, but that doesn't explain the temperature change of the air to be able to freeze things. I don't think he's lame, he just needs work. Aside from getting rid of him, all of you naysayers, I propose that you come up with ideas of how to freshen up Superman. All of you are like, blah blah blah, and all you do is say, "lame, sucks, stupid, and not cool." Come up with something better. Be productive to the society of comic book people out there. Maybe you can come up with the next big thing and make crap loads of money instead of hanging out and arguing about if Weapon XI is Deadpool or not. Hootie Hoooooo!

Superman/Batman comics is my favorite...I have every issue. Even the annuals. I love that series...and they have done a GREAT job with it so far.

Lastly, ITs not Superman vs Batman.....Its SUPERMAN/BATMAN as in Superman & Batman....as in they work as a team....WE have noobs on this site lol...f*ckin noobs & posers! Everyone knows if superman wanted to truly kill batman all he had to do was stand 100ft away from him as batman held the kryptonite ring in his hand or the green lantern ring...and have superman blast his hand off. Superman CHOOSES to be Good....which makes him unique....when really he could be the "god-like" being he was sent to be.

If they make this film....I hope they make them work together as a team....and not against each other. I saw AVP...and AVP 2.....it sucked :)
